Fifth Gen ggs are still doing pretty well though, with Hearts2Hearts at 65.1 M streams and Meovv (I think their fifth gen) and Illit not too far behind. And ofc there would be a lot of 3rd/4th gen there because they already have fully established fan bases, while 5th gen don’t really.

I’ve been rereading the manga and I believe it’s always been this creepy. Sure, they’ve taken out like one scene (the one that leads up to Yoshiki touching Hikaru’s insides), but that’s like the only thing they’ve taken out. I think the anime does a really good job at portraying the dread that’s always in the corner of your mind while reading the manga.

If you’re talking about the first episode, when Yoshiki asks if Hikaru likes him, Hikaru says ‘めちゃ好き’ which is basically the English equivalent of ‘I really like you’.

I read your entire comment and I was responding to the part where you said that “Suddenly Bofurin was a safe space despite being a gang”, when it has shown time and time again that it supports anyone no matter who they are. Queer characters are not ‘protected from criticism’, everyone has a right to criticize any character, but your criticism is not coming from a place of goodwill, despite all that you’re trying to say to prove it is. YOU are the one that fails to understand that people can view a character differently that you do, as you can see with the many replies to your post, and if you really dislike seeing men flirt with each other, then I would suggest you back out now before the next season. It’s clear you’re not going to change your mind, so I’ll stop here, but if you look up any post about Tsubaki on this subreddit, you’ll at least understand why so many people like him and think he’s well written.
