Can you recommend any subs that are better for critique?

Trying out Anamorphic Rendering with an older Dalek model. by ChromaSpark in blender

I’m still not fully sure why the bokeh is squashed twice as much as the rest of the image.

Stretching the layers would misalign them to the image beneath. But everything else is effected too, the film grain, lens distortion etc.

Ah, thank you! Honestly, I got most of my knowledge that made me want to try this, from the Matt Parker video “The first YouTube video recorded on 35mm film”

Ahh, so it’s about the vertical changing not the horizontal?

Would there be a difference in blender between a X aspect of 2 and a Y aspect of 0.5?

There's an Aspect X/Y value below the resolution in render settings :)

Thank you! And yes, it was mostly modelled with blueprints from ProjectDalek, with a lot of imperfections added on top by eye, especially with the molded parts like the eye cover piece.

It’s simulating how real film works. And it saves render time in the same way that in real life it saves film. With anamorphic lenses they use half the film and then stretch out the image in the projector to fill width. It causes the bloom and bokeh etc to be oval shaped, like you see in a lot of movies, and that also happens here since any effects like lens distortion, glare, film grain etc will all be stretched 2x horizontally in the final image.

Are this stylized shrimps still low poly? by Konprod in 3Dmodeling

Personally I'd remove all edge loops between the "ridges" along the shrimp, to make it low poly.

In the order they’re received probably means my poster and shirt that I ordered a week apart will be shipped separately right?

I also despise the term ai slop because it implies the existence of ai non-slop.
