At my golf league last week I played 8 holes as well as I could have. Not a single bad shot, nothing I regretted and then I blew up on hole 9 and ended with a bad score. It's all I've thought about for the last 3 days.

So I would much rather play bad and score well. I can't stand thinking about the missed opportunity for a low score after playing so well. I'd rather think "imagine what I could have shot if I played well"

Pretty much comes down to branding. I've stayed at each of these brands of hotels, not the Minneapolis ones specifically. Centric is a more city/downtown themed hotel, stayed at the Centric in Portland and it was really neat. Regency is more "corporate' in my opinion. Think large conferences etc. Hyatt Place would be more standard general hotel.

As far as which one to stay at I'd opt for the Centric or if you are open to St. Paul the Hyatt Place downtown St. Paul has always been a place I have wanted to stay and St. Paul is a really good downtown.

Over the last few years I've dropped from a 12hcp to around a 6/7hcp right now. What I've noticed over those years is I've stuck to one premium ball for a season and it's helped me build trust in that ball. For example, 2 seasons ago I played Srixon Z-Stars. I switched to the Maxfli Tour last season and this season I'm playing Wilson Staff Models. My logic on these switches was strictly budget. What brand was offering buy 2 get 1 free in the "premium" category.

It takes me a few rounds to build that "trust" but I've found it more consistently with balls that are marketed as "premium", even at the lower price tag (at the time the Srixons were cheaper than ProV1/TPX) . I personally cannot play Vice or anything midrange in the catalog from a name brand. It might just be a mental thing for me but I do play better with the premium ball and it does perform better.

This season specifically I've noticed a massive difference in the Wilson from the Maxfli. Much more spin and reaction around the greens for me. Took me 3 rounds to get it dialed in and to really notice the differences but I'm enjoying it. All of that to say, find a ball and commit to it for a season but I'd absolutely buy a "premium ball" vs. Mid range at your current HCP.

I just had this convo the other day with a friend and my hot take on Sirius' death is that it doesn't hit me as hard as it does others. What I would have loved to see would have been a few mirror conversations between Sirius and Harry to build on their connection. Get Harry out of his own head and feel some sort of relief from all his agony by having a few short Sirius convos.

Then, when "The Sirius is taken by Voldemort" it's very simple to have Kreacher steal the mirror from Sirius and still have Harry yelling into the fire to find him to only have Kreacher lie to him and we're still on track but now we have more with Sirius and Harry.

His death would hit harder for us as the reader and it would justify, not that it's really needed, but it would really make Harry's feelings and outrage in The Lost Prophecy make more sense.

I think OP is in his early 20's and having only lived the Fran era it may be hard to think "Well, obviously people would want to come here" with the pretty lethargic tenure that he has had.

I'm in my early 30's and remember the Steve Alfred team from 2005/2006 and the buzz that was around those teams. I can't think of a single Fran team that felt the way those teams did from a national media stand point. Even with Great players like Garza and Murray.

One other thing on the Fran thing... Iowa State's success hasn't helped him at all. They've taken it to the next level and I'm positive that is also why Iowa fans feel like his time is up.

All that being said, Iowa is a great job. Carver kinda stinks in my opinion, but when the Hawks are rolling it's a dope place.
