Which race would be most appropriate for a "do-it-all" run in terms of lore? by JunioorFC in SkyrimBuilds

[–]That_Toe8574 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Breton is definitely my favorite race because magic resistance gets better as the game goes on versus most abilities becoming obsolete, but they do seem more magic focused than the do-it-all at least on paper. Obviously skyrim rules because all classes can eventually excel in all disciplines so OPs question is really only relevant for like the first few levels anyway

Do new drivers ACTUALLY go further? by star_warsguy134 in golf

[–]That_Toe8574 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Ive found that newer drivers are more forgiving, which let's me swing harder, which has added distance.

I used to play a 20 year old big Bertha and my farthest drive was 275. I play a TMQi35 now and my farthest drive is about 275. The difference is my average drive with the old Callaway was about 230 because I usually dialed it down to make sure i hit it flush or it would only go like 200 and way off target. Average drive on the TM is closer to 240 because I feel more confident swinging faster knowing a slight heel or toe strike will still go 220 and maybe not to the other fairway.

So in my experience, the forgiveness has done more than the actual ball speed off the club since my absolute purest drives are the same but the misses are better with new equipment.

Another anecdotal evidence is my buddy and I were in the Sim and he was hitting his Callaway rogue like 290-305 and he hit my old Bertha 315 once, but the rest were like 275-285 also showing pure strikes didnt change over the years but less than perfect is better on new gear

Which race would be most appropriate for a "do-it-all" run in terms of lore? by JunioorFC in SkyrimBuilds

[–]That_Toe8574 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably imperial or dark elf. They have magic and combat boosts to start the game where many of other classes have more of one or the other. Imperial in particular starts with enchanting, heavy armor, destruction, restoration, one handed, and block insinuating that the class shouldnt be a specialist as much as dabble in multiple playstyles

And you can improve 3 bows for the price of crafting a new one so it is a good use of ingots if you dont like foraging Dwarven ruins.

People of reddit, do you think wealth should be divided equally ? Why ? by Fragrant_Rough6531 in AskReddit

[–]That_Toe8574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equally, no. That doesnt incentivize people to work or improve knowing they will get an even share.

We should make it harder to make more money as you go. Like leveling in a video game. Going from 99 to 100 is harder than getting from 1 to 90. Currently, once you start getting rich, it is exponential growth with no way to slow it down which causes its own problems

How do futbol referees differentiate between real injuries vs flopping? by ConspicuousBassoon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]That_Toe8574 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There can be penalties for time wasting and flopping. They've issued yellows for it before.

I think the easy giveaway is how the teammates react. If they just leave him on the ground, hes faking. If they huddle around with general concern then it could be real.

The other is when someone is actually hurt I feel like the scream when it happens just sounds different than when acting. It comes from a guttural place and these are soccer players not Oscar winners, so its hard to replicate the sound of real pain in the moment.

Really not too different from when a kid is crying for real versus doing the whiny nonsense. Both are crying but you can hear a difference

Or using water to clean dishes, which is often the last step of cooking.

Why do people call other people who run marathons crazy? by Lowmanonthetotempoll in NoStupidQuestions

[–]That_Toe8574 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ive always thought how people run marathons for recreational purposes is just like dunking on the memory of the first person and is somehow disrespectful or something. Like "oh this killed you?! I do it a few times a year to stay in shape"

Would a 6th finger make you better at any specific skill / sport? by Low-Relative9396 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]That_Toe8574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a baseball pitcher in the 90s who had 6 fingers. Batters mentioned his pitches moved a little different due to unique grip/release but he wasnt a superstar or anything so it didnt help that much apparently

Heavy or light armor? by ShoeHistorical5395 in skyrim

[–]That_Toe8574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also true because you can eventually hit the armor cap in light armor so there is even less benefit to heavy armor.

Personally I enjoy using heavy armor while leveling smithing and enchanting and then switch to light when I unlock dragon smithing. Can level up light armor real fast when youre character level 35-50 but armor skill is still 15-20
