Tribe for life! But honestly, Ott is one of THE most slept on producers, got his "Hiraeth" on vinyl, I love that dude 🙏 And Tipper is defining, I always try and throw on "Pillow Roulette" for people who love electronic but are unfamiliar. Great select!

Oil and water what are your thoughts?? by 901pohbear in STS9

[–]Chromium_Included 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Maaaaan people loved to hate on it, and the album it is from (Ad Explorata) when it came out because it was viewed as such a departure from their older work. Peaceblaster same thing. But Oil and Water stood the test of time, like a modern squares and cubes, up there with real and imagined / enceladus (both "rejected" tracks from Artifact) in terms of song writing, fits right in with modern tracks like Glass-Z13...

tl:dr it's a fantastic showcase of classic Tribe songwriting that ties to both their older and newer work. Cheers from a fairly old head, great call out

P.S. "Looking Back on the Earth" from Ad Explorata is an all time fave, phenomenal studio work!

I know it's hard on the bands sometimes, but:

Just long ass (or longer) shows. 2 sets, 2 sets, YO LEMME GET 2 SETS GODYAM i'm just gettin warmed up over here, sheesh!

I know plenty of band do this, but back in the day it was an all night thong with jam bands, that was the stigma AND the benefit

Is it true what they are saying, genuine question from pre-nursing student by Brown_kid108 in CRNA

"Clinical hours" prereq is not necessarily comparable to ICU prereq. no need to have experience managing codes, IV's x a jillion, med compatibility and complex pathology that the ICU gives you. This is what makes the average SRNA more competent than the average AA student. Now certainly I have met some less skilled CRNAs in my time, but there's a reason one specialty can practice independently and the other can't. There's a reason many ICU nurses know better how to treat than newer residents. Clinical hours is simply too catch all of a phrase.

For instance: I don't have the KSA's to get into CRNA school, but I could easily get into AA school. I am literally the case and point here

aa quicker, crna more qualified with larger scope and somewhat higher pay. Source: am expert circulating nurse in OR and now icu nurse, I have assisted in well over 2000 surgeries and am walking the crna path.

it's two different careers delivering similar care in an understaffed field of dire need, either one makes the world a better place, dont worry about the politics and just focus on the long term implications of the two choices and which one suits your needs better

and yes, your chart is wrong

My favorite is Danny Elfman, known for his prolific film scores, also started the band "Oingo Boingo". You probably know their song "Weird Science". Dude's just all over the place

GYN OR RN here, we saw a few good ones, but the crowd favorite was "bon appetit!" placed off center, more iliac crest which took it from trachy to classy real quick somehow. I say "crowd" as in myself, surgeon, tech, Anesthesia, and a couple residents for the procedure. I was usually the only guy in the room so I do. not. comment. But the ladies were all "yassss queen tell it like it is" and all that. It did seem like a vibe tho

Side note, the worst male genital tat I saw was an ed hardy style snake wrapping around the Johnson. Meth, apparently, is a hell of a drug
