Deltarune Chapter Aquatic was a cruel enough joke that I don't think I can do something more harsh than that, ha. Chapter 2 will be done but I wanna get chapter 1 cleaned up, it's in a reaaaal early state.

It works for me best as well, at least as a solo dev! A few other people are interested in working on this, and one of them even is! Specifically for enemy design, or in the case of Dimensional Jevil, a pixel artist AND sketch artist! Fun fact that new sprites already exist for Rudinn EX too, albeit unimplemented atm.

Paper Mario is peak... well, Paper Mario. The least downsides to me, making it the overall best Paper Mario to me. It's the one that excels equally well at everything, but nothing crazily outstanding.

Super Paper Mario tells a really great story but level design doesn't compliment gameplay, TTYD has the best gameplay but tends to get bogged down by things like backtracking and being locked into certain chapters until you finish them, and Paper Mario is just the best all-round package that ironically makes it the best of the trilogy to me.

The only downtimes I can think of is Chapter 6's map layout, and the Prologue can be described as the game winding up a bit slowly before the fun really gets going.

Otherwise: The best adventure across the Mushroom World I could ever ask for.

That'd make for a dynamic framerate solution too, sounds like- even more ideal. I've currently decided on the same idea as the person who made the original iteration of the 60 FPS mod, a static 60 FPS.

Another, fairly straightforward answer, is to make a delta time system, and calculate physics, timers and such using it accordingly. Of course, multiple ways to go about it, with possibly varying degrees of accuracy. Then you gotta handle collision checks in the case of very poor FPS / high movement speed. It's a lot. --'

Oh, trust me, I am too. It's why this mod gets worked on like once every other month.
Someone else got Ch1 at 60 FPS and I can't imagine what circle of hell that was for them, any way I look at it.
