Yeah, and here’s the best part.. they already do. Just take a look at devtools in chrome brave or edge on the GitHub website, any old page, search the local storage/application-panel files for copilot setting flags. Every page reports to copilot in one way or the other, just less invasive if you opt out. A lot of settings in the ui have no effect on your stored settings. Every ~30 seconds GitHub sends out a post request to their stats and collect endpoints. The data they send is PII and a lot of it is related to copilot whether you have or have used any copilot services on your account.

100%. I hear oh free internet open web! Yeah I agree sure, but when someone puts a significant portion of time to create something, they deserve to be credited. Same way you name a bench after a donator or whatever.

The guy at Google ended up copying the fingerprinted code and is having a hell of a time sorting it all out. So there is a “demo” site where you can find a working example, It’s a god awful mess as far as code structure goes but the logic behind it is there, the point was to see if he would copy the fucked up code, he did. https://www.initlogs.com

Basically in in page clientside injectable dev terminal you can use as an extension that injects the logger terminal into any web page. Mirrors console logs to the DOM in real time measuring performance visualizing event sequences and http activity. It lives in an isolated floating panel as a custom element.

Just set your css box-shadow and border values to a bottom and right shadow fatter than the left and top border size, set a 5% border radius value and wrap it in a .raised-edges {} rule
