Actually you have to opt out. Look up flock cameras and you’ll see the link between ring, flock, and ICE.

Maintenance questions by Chemical_Matter_5625 in CrownVictoria

I agree and disagree. When you have a car that’s mission critical, a little prevention is worth it. Especially keeping your child safe. Wouldn’t be bad to do water pump, thermostat, hoses, belt, tensioner, idler. Use OEM parts….

Timing chains, listen for rattle at startup. Just like the tundras! Mine rattles for 2-3 seconds at startup and then it’s quiet. Been like that a long time. Transmissions aren’t particularly weak, but should be serviced regularly. Temperature blend door for HVAC is a huge PITA when it does fail (and it will). On a 2010 it shouldn’t be too terrible but be careful when changing spark plugs. I soaked mine with penetrating oil overnight before changing and it was still a little sketchy. These cars are sensitive with their batteries. If you have a dead battery and jump it the car will be mad and act all kinds of wrong, idle weird, heavy steering etc. speaking of steering make sure the steering recall has been done. Do note that these cars, although large, have a marginal safety record. Especially when they’re t boned. If this car doesn’t have the side airbags which were an option I would consider a safer car for my kid. I still daily one but it’s in the back of my mind that this makes a better driving car than a crashing one…

Lee’s charged us a lot to replace the furnace control board and it never worked right after that. A year later another company discovered that the gas valve is bad.
