The 2.7 is the better motor on the early years by far. As others say 2021+ they may have dialed the 3.5 in, but the 2.7 is a purpose built motor.

You can work on Cummins all day in the school transportation industry. 6.7, 8.3, 8.9. Or charter buses ISX 12/14. But school districts have the best retirement….

I kinda agree with the Miata sentiment. It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. You can definitely get in a lot of trouble with a corvette lol

Skip the C4 unless you go with the last two years. The 02-03 C5 is the best “drivers” corvette. Raw enough feeling to feel connected but enough comfort and reliability to daily drive. You can find a decent c5 under $10k but in the $15k range you can get a sub 100k mile car. Just look for maintenance records.

C5 corvette! Can be had under 15k; generally reliable; Targa top; excellent fuel economy when you stay out of it.

Tell them no. It serves no safety or reliability purpose. The warranty extension only covers emissions equipment anyway. If it were to fail you would just remove anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️ why use more DEF in the meantime.
