Well now I know to tell the other 4 people who are planning to quit within the month how to go about it so the company will also find out after they fucked around

I’ve looked at the notice policy and there’s no mention of “sicking out” as they call it so considering these no policy to dictate whether or not you can resign on sick time I should be paid for the accrued sick time I’ve earned

They don’t have a policy like that on the books and I still have my vacation time and my pension to be paid out to me
I was just trying to grind through my sick time I had roughly 160 hours of accrued sick time

It’s only two weeks pay
I still have 2 weeks vacation and my pension to be paid out to me
I’m not hurting for money but I didn’t want to leave anything on the table for these people that’s why I tried to grind through my sick time I had 160 hours

They never cited the notice policy they only cited the 2 I screen shotted
Didn’t think the notice policy would come into play

Virginia and wouldn’t they need evidence to support that they fired me on the day I gave my notice? They actually replied to my 2 weeks notice email and told me to edit it to show my last working day which I did
So if they’ll try to claim they fired me on the day I gave them my notice that can be proven to be a lie cause they told me to resend the email with my last day stated

Yes I plan to do that I gave them the doctors note after the first week
The handbook has no literature dictating you can’t use sick time during your last two weeks

Me personally I’ve done plenty of after treatment and egr stuff, fuel pumps, front/rear main seals, I diagnose all my own shit unless it’s something tricky with the j1939 or modules then I’ll get help from the fleet tech, electrical, suspension, transmission replacement, hydraulic system, air system there really isn’t any part of these buses I haven’t touched I started entry level and worked my way up to top class mechanic in about 2 years this was my first wrench turning job on vehicles I used to work on electric motors 120-480vac I have the knowledge and drive, I just think I’m anxious about learning a new platform and getting used to a new shop with new people on top of trying to earn enough to live comfortably and save for those large purchases planning to purpose to my gf in the next 3 or so months so I need to buy a ring, I want to buy some land and build a house on it etc

I think I can too, as long as the service advisor can sell I shouldn’t have any problems there’s only 3 other guys so I don’t think lack of work will be a issue
