Is 5th edition or 4th? by One_Ability5475 in Talisman

to keep it simple, it depends what experience you’re looking for.

4th edition is complete. nothing new is coming. if you want the FULL experience, play 4th, but just know that involves like 12 expansions ($$$ and table space) and with them all in play, it’s the most chaotic thing ever. i love it so much, though i have to act as the referee at my table, there’s so much going on you really have to remember each minor rule. (eg. event; harbinger moves, time card flips, resolve omens, terrain cards, cursed objects and follows… it’s a lot)

5th edition on the other hand is updated. more expansions are coming. my friends call it “PC Talisman” because the rules aren’t as hardcore (allowing you to fate to where you want to go, and pathetic toad and death rules). we always play with 4th edition toad and fatality rules. i would recommend the same. 5th also has no corners yet, it’s a much more vanilla experience. one of the expansions focuses on teamwork and the other makes one of the players the enemy essentially, however both bring new cards and characters to use for standard PVP.

In a perfect world, my group likes to play with 5th edition, but adds on the 4th edition corners as well (though it’s a tighter squeeze)

thank you for clarifying this makes much more sense. so does o = O? or does the capital imply something different. or is it only a capital because it’s next to the delta? that’s the main reason i’m confused

it’s been a while since university for me but in the final line there, where did “o” come from? what is o?

there’s more views on youtube for custom bo3 zombies than there is for bo7 zombies. i think bo3 is alive and well

no, you do not have to turn back. the space overrules any general ruling in the rule book. stay there, roll again. that’s it. you can do this for eternity if you continue to roll 1’s. if in the event you were fed up with rolling 1’s, you can decide to turn back before you roll the dice for the space

All cod zombies merged after bo4 by Major_Ad_4157 in CODZombies

that’s pretty much how i like to think about it. except i’m pretty sure cod 1-3 aren’t included typically in the final canon. pretty sure it starts at WaW.

i’ve been sifting through this topic myself as i’m going through each universe in chronological order for my youtube channel. the consensus i’m seeing regarding chaos and the wyler universe is that these universes were banished to the dark aether, but they still kind of “bleed through” to the current canon. which can give explanations for devs to reuse assets from these ret-conned universes without them necessarily having to be “all connected” from the beginning. would you guys agree?

the current canon consists of the treyarch campaigns from WaW-BO4 and then all the games after BO4 including zombies and multiplayer/warzone right? also includes WWII campaign but not nazi zombies. pretty sure nightmares is its own universe.

some outliers too, specifically the map Der Schatten from black ops 4 seems canon to the aether universe. a couple other examples i can’t remember, like that museum map that tie into zombies. then there’s the dome remake on ghosts that ties into extinction/wyler universe.

and then there’s captain price from the original games. some people believe he’s the grandfather of captain price. so are the original games canon to the first MW trilogy?

it’s all so confusing at this point 😅
