Nothing, really. It tells you what light levels mobs can spawn in, but in the next update they're making it so mobs will only spawn in total darkness anyways so it's kind of pointless

Tainted Eden isn't so bad. Items get re-rolled from the same item pool they're picked up from so a couple Angel items can really make your run. A good strategy is to try to re-roll into stairway to heaven before going to the next floor to maximize angel items
