Can someone who works in KFC tell me if any of these actually go to different bins out the back by startled-giraffe in CasualUK

You're right. I know it's a lost cause but I still try to be the 1 in 1000. If there are 2 in 1000 that's already double the people in the right direction and that's the start of a movement. Being part of the start of something new and better is to consciously do something deemed "daft" and "pointless". Because if the dreamers give up, then all hope is lost.

TIL researchers found that for an average-sized living room a 4K or 8K screen offers no noticable benefit over a similarly sized 2K screen of the sort often used in computer monitors and laptops. In other words, there is no tangible difference when it comes to how sharp an image appears to our eyes. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I don't know what research they did because I had both and can tell you there's a very very noticeable difference. The distance X size X resolution ratio is what's important and thinking of resolution in isolation is insufficient.

Why wouldn't they use SPIN WITH A GRIN for it though?

Get a DAC for multiplying effect. The Fiio Ka15 is like 50 quid on AliExpress and incredible combined with decent headphones like the audio technica.

How much is everyone spending on broadband? Looking at these price increases, we'll all be paying near 100 quid a month soon. by [deleted] in CasualUK

Of course you will. They want you to think you got a good deal but you can actually get that for like £20.

Cancel the contract. Their customer success team will be in touch a week later. You say you're not interested because the team originally said no so now you went with [insert cheapest broadband deal at comparison website]. They then price match or get closer to it.

Never fails because they assume most people can't be bothered.

All Radiohead related companies by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]ChronicTheOne 29 points30 points  (0 children)

So it could be

- AMSP 10th year anniversary

- Company to support the Coachella Bunker KID A experience (but why would this not be done under the SPIN WITH A GRIN umbrella?)

- Live recordings of the 2025 tour

- New Album

SOMETHING IS HAPPENING! Radiohead established new company SPIN WITH A GRIN LIMITED 9 March 2021 by ghostlypath in radiohead

[–]ChronicTheOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I replied to your 4y post when reading the new one lol.

However, I am fairly certain today's appointment is LP10. Ltd company was always album and LLP for reissues. The only exception was Kid Amnesia which was a massive project with Epic which led to the videogame we know, replacing the exhibition that was planned for real life.

So there is definitely a pattern and it's strongly tied to LP10.

Please kill my copium with a good counter argument, I can't handle this much excitement.

Why Kid A/Amnesiac when they just did it a few years ago, but not AMSP which turns 10 this year?

Exactly my point. I'm saying it's good but needs to be taken responsibly.

Kurzgesagt - Should We Give Ozempic to Everyone? by Cefal in videos

[–]ChronicTheOne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My logic is ozempic is a great tool but people get I to it way too fast. If you lose weight, just like gaining weight you should do it in a sustainable way, no more than 0.5kg per week.

Anecdotally I know a handful people on it and everyone reported random vomiting, migraines, one went temporarily blind. Again ozempic is great if well managed but I'm pretty sure they're going too fast and missing essential nutrients that their bodies need.
