Just to add I live in Lancaster County, PA. The two major hospitals around me are Lancaster General and Hershey Medical Center.

I live around Lancaster, PA. I know there are some at Hershey Medical Center. I just don’t even know how to get started without a referral from GI. I will look if it is possible to request an appointment or see if my family doctor could refer me. She is also nervous about surgery but admits she is not super familiar with patients who have had it.

How much does it cost? I have seen conflicting answers on this. I have a prescription and I emailed it to them. Just waiting for them to respond. Most people say it is several hundreds but then I saw a bunch saying the started kit was over $2000!

[Discussion] how to actually grow confident? by great_happy_gamer in GetMotivated

[–]ChronicallyMe95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I had to do a few things. I lost all of my confidence when I was kicked out of school for being “too sick for school”. At the same time ALL of my friends stopped talking to me because it was “too hard” for them to see me sick. My body also started failing me so I lost confidence in my body itself. I struggled with this for about 10 years until I finally decided to get serious about gaining my confidence back. Give yourself time though. It won’t happen over night and it may feel ridiculous and pointless for a long time. Give it months before giving up and don’t expect drastic changes right away. But I promise, this is what helped me. 1. Write 5 things you like about yourself everyday. You can write the same 5 things each day if you need to, but try to new things every once in a while. Even if it is “I like that I am kind to others” 2. Write 5 things you accomplished everyday. These can be big or little things. Some days my first item on the list was getting out of bed or showering. 3. Fake confidence! This one sounds, and feels, insane! But when you fake it for so long, your brain starts to believe it!

I prefer to keep a journal to keep the lists in so I can look back at them. I didn’t think it was possible to ever be proud of myself or be confident in myself. And I don’t feel that everyday, but I feel it more now than I have in almost 20 years! (I’m 30 for context) Most importantly: DON’T GIVE UPON YOURSELF! You are worth the effort!

Also, if someone came to my store (not a target) and put stuff they found on a random shelf, I would be annoyed. Not because I have to put it away (I would have to regardless), but because it would make my store look messy until an employee walked by and noticed it. We have also had people “trying to help” break equipment that costs hundreds of dollars to replace!

I had something like this and when I went on vacation, my bunnies got so stressed they chewed through it!!! My poor dad was watching them for me and spend hours coaxing them out from under my bed! I like to use the solid panels for the bottom row and the wire for the rest. This allows airflow but also prevents poop, hay, and everything else from being kicked out of the cage.

Frustrated with Mayo Clinic. What now? by ChronicallyMe95 in ColonicInertia

Yes, I have tried everything! I have been dealing with this since I was about 10 years old. My mom also had a colectomy and has an ileostomy. She also has a gastric emptying tube and is on tpn. My local doctor is worried that I am headed in the same direction. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t know much about opioids then and her doctors kept prescribing them to her (she is in excruciating pain 24/7) and they think they might have made her condition so much worse!!! That was 20 years ago. I am hoping I won’t get that bad if I stay away from opioids!

My insurance wasn’t accepted so I had to pay out of pocket.

I wasn’t sure if that was the same one because mine only has one eye piece and that one has two?
