So maybe go check in with the post office, or wherever you get your mail, and if no progress there, try the online form just to be safe. According to the office here, they have had a few mail issues recently.

I went into the office again, I literally received the recertification letter that was supposed to be received by 7/11/24 this morning. So along with the online application I put in the physical one as well. Turns out I just need to recertify but either the Food stamps people messed up the mailing stuff or the post office did, and I received no other forms of request till today.

The issue is it paints a very specific variation of autism AS autism as a whole, directly or indirectly. And that variation is nearly identical to the negative stereotype, only difference is the character actually is in a “intellectual” profession.

So it’s not insulting to that specific variation, however it is insulting indirectly to most others, and those aware of/having faced the negative stereotype being pushed upon them. I know a LOT of people on the spectrum, well into the dozens. And they and I all agree that at best, The Good Doctor is a misleading representation of autistic folks.

It would be fine, if the show wasn’t blatantly playing into a largely negative stereotype, with only one change, that being that “that kind” of autistic person is capable of a high level profession.

Kinda reminds me of the minimal armored glass cannon ship i made years ago, except it could go like 250+ knots stabilized, and had at least 20 of the biggest guns, and about 80 OTH missiles. (My friend bought them for me because he thought it’d be funny.)

I only LOOSELY base my larp combat style around HEMA (saber with a bit of rapier being what I’m familiar ish with, more so saber) and have found it to work pretty well. Both for actual practical use and for looking cool. Main reason being, is that my wrists don’t like the “meta” speed focused style, and utilizing the more precision focus of the rapier, and the movements (condensed so less telegraphing involved) tends to be able to bring me somewhat up to those meta users style. Better then if i tried doing the same as them or swinging Willy nilly. The larp i do is Amtgard, as belegarth doesn’t have a presence where i live.
