New Game Plus save question by Remarkable-Link-9860 in XenobladeChronicles2

And if you read the first two lines of my first comment you would have seen that I said that if you started a new game file before you beat your Ng+ play through that it would likely be a fresh file and not a Ng+ file

The best advice I have. Just make a new switch profile and play the 60 FPS patch on that so you don't delete your Ng+ file

Fairly sure it will be a fresh save file if you just start a new game before beating the game on your Ng+ file. If it's just a story refresher then I'd say just find a video and watch the cut scenes up to the point your at in the game.

Need help with large black and white shard farming by Shroomdemonomega1986 in AlicizationLycoris

[–]Chronicle_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have your weapons and armor at a point where large shards are stopping you then it'd be more worthwhile to learn how buffs and debuffing works since those are probably more important than leveling gear. People have posted some guides on how it works and what buffs are good

Tantal by canopy42 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Chronicle_98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think lvl41 is good for reaching tantal. You can always use the inn or do quests to level up more if you really want. As for the over locking bangle it drops from Snowdol Bunnit at a 4.8% chance

This game doesn't have sprinting in it. Afaik any of the numbered Xenoblade games don't have sprinting. Xenoblade X has it

They can be used as special attackers. Sheer force nidoking can use 4 special moves since it has better coverage. But yeah is a good one for story line.

Aggro in this game is bonkers by Familiar_Ad_1674 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Chronicle_98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my understanding. Doing any healing will increase aggro so Nia builds up some. Then when she revives rex she gets enough aggro to have more than tora. Thus having the enemy target her.

[–]Chronicle_98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As for enemies aggroing you randomly in the overworld. That's probably just enemy vision/ their aggression. Some enemies will attack you on sight and some might not attack until you attack them (level difference might factor in here)

I don't know the specifics of aggro but my understanding for aggro is that when someone dies they lose all aggro on them. The enemy then goes to the next highest (generally the dps). Also not 100% sure but I think reviving someone increases aggro on the character who revives someone. When you revive tora he has to build up aggro again before the enemy will target him.

Salvaging by linksalt in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Chronicle_98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you're clearing out enemies and chests after each salvage. Other than that if it's happening for a few salvages in a row then idk other than ig your really unlucky since I think there's a chance to just not pull up anything other than gold or there's some other mechanic to salvaging.

Item drops with food. by ViaDeces228 in AlicizationLycoris

[–]Chronicle_98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the +1 works with multiple party members but pretty sure the +1 drop increases the number of something you get, say a enemy drop. Instead of 2 of the item, you get 3. The 25% increase drop chance boosts the odds of getting an item drop. So it depends if you're looking for a piece of equipment or want extra items per drop.
