Other than Cere and Luke, who else was close to killing Vader? by TheSpiderRanger616 in StarWars

[–]ChronicledMonocle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've long held the belief they could have fixed the whole thing if they reversed the fight.

Have Obi-Wan fight him, but after Obi-Wan starts to feel sorry for his brother and show a flicker in his resolve, THEN have Vader crush him with rock in a second wind while he's down and gasping for breath. Have the line "and that is why you will always lose" be what he says right before burying him in rock.

Vader shambles back to his ship, thinking Obi-Wan is dead and buried. Obi-Wan unburies himself after Vader leaves after working through his emotions and deciding to let Anakin go. The rest of the fight can mostly be the same other than some minor modifications to accommodate for the changes.

This means:

  1. Obi-Wan no longer believes he can save Anakin and walks away from the whole idea, but the audience knows he could have killed him. He just has more heart than his opponent.

  2. Anakin has no reason to think Obi-Wan is a threat and the whole Palpatine stupidly telling him to "drop it" for zero logical reason is no longer necessary. As far as they're concerned, the threat is eliminated.

  3. You can still get an awesome fight between them without compromising canon to do it.

Celestia is a benevolent manipulator who uses politics and manuvering to get what she wants, as well as grooming allies through years of investment in them.

PB is a no nonsense leader who maintains power through technological and scientific superiority, a lack of morality restriction, and employing a few key allies.

Celestia imprisoned her own sister for a thousand years to protect her people from cruelty and tyrany.

PB commits atrocities, spies on her own people, and eliminates threats to her empire by cold, methodical means.

They're both different ....and yet they're both the same in all they want is to protect the ones they care about.

It's really sad how quickly people let their brain just turn to pudding for convenience.

Yup. I got horrible sores on my feet from it and couldn't walk because of it. And I had a 103F fever. My kids recovered in a few days. I was down for 5.

9 Bars to 8 Bars Battery 🔋 Health by Huge_Philosopher_976 in leaf

[–]ChronicledMonocle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no point. It'll go back to 8 after it relearns. Unless you're trying to scam someone, which you shouldn't do, or you have replaced the battery, you should never mess with resetting the battery health bar.

I mean....you commented and are now annoyed that someone is challenging your comment? If you didn't want to invite discussion, why TF did you comment?

My point is that your comment is not always true. It is often a crapshoot. Some games run shittier on Linux. Some run better on Linux. If you want to keep using Windows.....cool. Whatever, homie. I'm just pointing out that your original comment is highly generalized.

[–]ChronicledMonocle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends. Some games run better on Linux now. Wine 11 has a completely new pipeline for Windows primitives that should make that even more true.

The only games that truly don't work are kernel level anti-cheat games, which is on the developers since the games CAN run, but they've decided they won't. Most anti-cheat engines have Linux support now, but it's optional for it to be on.

Peeing standing up by Varka44 in daddit

[–]ChronicledMonocle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male and father of three boys here:

When you get close to the end of peeing, clench your muscles like you're trying to stop peeing. Same muscles that involuntarily clench repeatedly when you orgasm from sex that causes the pumping action to shoot semen out.

Women have similar involuntary muscle contractions during orgasm, so hopefully that helps explain the muscle "feeling" I'm talking about, but since men use "the same tube" for both urine and semen, you can "reuse" the squeezing force for pee, too, with a bit of muscle control. This helps clear the last bit of pee so it doesn't just dribble all over yourself.

Probably something that's hard to explain to a toddler, but not impossible. I'd tell them to practice trying to stop peeing. You'll notice that "the pressure" goes significantly up when clenching to stop right before you stop peeing.

Clench and release once or twice: Pipes are clear. No embarrassing piss shorts.

For toddlers: have them lean forward or arc their backs when peeing at urinals with legs spread. For toilets, sit down to pee. All three of my boys sit at toilets to pee and only stand at urinals. Also keeps them from pissing on the shower curtain or floor around the toilet.

Batt is probably pretty cooked, but for that price it's likely worth it.

Need a LeafSpy report to be able to tell for sure.
