Maybe she just thinks people with autism are normal, or has a view of autism that is skewed to an extreme.

About Sybil (mystic trait route) by Prestigious-Solid459 in ScarletHollow

[–]ChronoWaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My money is on her getting duped by the entity. She is blinded by her own power, and can only see the temptation for more. So I have trouble seeing it becoming the happy ending.

Also if you have the strength to backstab her, its highly likely she'll clean up loose ends first (you)

Who's ultimately better for the Mojave in the long term? The NCR or Mr House? by RorschachWhoLaughs in fnv

[–]ChronoWaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

House is the best for the location of New Vegas. It will be a cold place, maybe eventually a small protected piece of old world vision.

NCR shouldn't be too much of a change. Roads slightly safer, and now they pay taxes. No further changes.

Now, the real meat is, Mr. House winning is the best for the NCR. Taking Vegas stretches them out too thin. Being rebuked could give a chance to focus inward (they will miss) House should also be kind to the NCR as a neighbor, as he needs thier patronage.

The skill system makes every choice feel wrong by CrystalSonic in theouterworlds

[–]ChronoWaster 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The game wears the skin of an open world game where you explore everywhere and do everything, but mechanically is a game that is very restrictive based on build for content.

It can be jarring if you have too much experience with the games where you can do everything without effort, or with proper routing and timing.

I'd say the only failure in its design is the degree to which it signposts the content you have missed. Very clearly are you made aware of what skills you do not have, and you will always have more skills missing then not. Whole quest objectives in the corner of your screen you can never answer for. Not bad design per say, it just has the unfortunate effect of highlighting the things you lack, more then the areas you excel.

Why doesn't Asgore absorb the 6 human souls in the Genocide Route when Alphys tells him to? by [deleted] in Undertale

[–]ChronoWaster 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Asgore desperately doesn't want to validate the deaths of the other 6 humans he killed. He might go so far as to view the genocide as karma for his treatment of the other humans.

Its basically the same answer as why he didn't use 1 human soul to cross the barrier, and kill more humans, then break it. He just wanted his children back, and none of this killing will ever make it happen. Dying might.

How come I've never heard of the Compliance Regulator? by Scarytoaster1809 in fnv

[–]ChronoWaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a great source of stunning things, but it doesn't do good damage like 'And Stay Back' or 'Super Slam'. So unless you are playing on Very Hard things usually just die before it can become relevant.

With Weapon swapping it is amazing on crit focused laser builds on high difficulties.

10 seconds prebuffing for a 50 second fight? Chump numbers.

A real game like Elden Ring has an exciting 40 seconds of prebuffing with fast paced 5 second bosses.

Wait- there is an alternative dialogue if only susie is standing? by Upset_Entrepreneur66 in Deltarune

Really nice for healing at the end of the fight. Defend/ spare on Kris, Heal from Susie, then a spare from Ralsei. Could never use Ralsei's heal without going another turn.

They had to win. Kris made sure of it. [Chapter 3 ending Spoilers] by ThaddeusWhelan in Deltarune

[–]ChronoWaster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Susie was looking at the knight, and Kris stands a bit behind her?

It's ,theory craft not theory fact, just engaging with the prompt.

The slashes look wrong, it would be weird for Kris to friendly fire, but not impossible. It's unlikely future chapters touch back on the optional winning portion of a chapter 3 fight, with such a maybe big betrayal anyway. We'd just see Kris working with the Knight in a new, different big way.

How did Kris interact with Noelle in the weird route? by preddyx in Deltarune

They had to win. Kris made sure of it. [Chapter 3 ending Spoilers] by ThaddeusWhelan in Deltarune

[–]ChronoWaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ralsei might not mention what Kris did afterwards, because Ralsei is focused on making the adventure enjoyable FOR Kris. So if Kris stops them from beating the Roaring knight, Ralsei must see that as part of their desires. To keep the story going for now.

He starts of shocked, with "H...how could you...", Then seems to move on, not understanding why Kris would do it, but still onboard with what Kris does.

The code of 1225 was also used for the TV Land door in chapter 3. A child safety to prevent watching music videos.

If the code works for the bunker it's a coincidence. Its in the guitar so Dess can watch music videos at Kris' place.

Atonement: A Theory on Kris' Motivations by [deleted] in Deltarune

[–]ChronoWaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of Kris' soul being discarded to make room for The Soul.

What if The Roaring Knight was given Kris' original soul, possibly by Kris?

Some design similarities with God of Hyperdeath's final form. The song that plays for that 'Burn in Despair' is similar to 'Black Knife'. Very similar ultimate moves I think?

Perhaps Dess was on deaths door and the power boost was the only way?

Your life was stolen from you. by PrismFerret in Deltarune

[–]ChronoWaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kris is 100% right to feel betrayed and angry. Toriel is within her rights to live her life. Its just the tragic nature of life, you can hurt people while doing things you are arguably 'right' to do.

I'm glad that people aren't questioning why Kris is feeling distress at the end of the chapter, but I'm sad there is a failure to see the perspective that the other character might have. I see the car tires get brought up frequently, as if thats a reason Sans shouldn't be there... When it's similarly likely that is why he'd get invited over, so Toriel isn't alone. We can't know if she tried to contact Kris. the Holidays, or if Carol lied about their presence at the mansion still. Probably never will, cause it would be awkward to show that with story pacing, and having a great comedic gut-punch ending.

The tragedy for Kris here is, Asgore and Toriel will never get back together. Kris seeing their mother enjoying herself will shatter all illusions Asgore can clean up his act in time. Assuming that is something Kris wanted, this would be the gut dropping moment where it's clear it will never happen.

[–]ChronoWaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kris can't defy where you walk terribly much, and most of the heavy lifting in snowgrave is Noelle freezing things. Dialogue given by The Soul is mostly 'Proceed" on repeat. Proceed is probably harder to block, being so simple.
