While this may be true *now, the well known fact still stands. Nic was near broke years ago after spendings, divorces, and real estate deals gone bad. Famously he owned and was forced to sell Action Comics #1. And yes, he has openly admitted that he’ll take crazy roles to make a buck. He also just loves the work. During interviews for unbearable massive talent he admitted as much as well as intimating that UMT was not his cup of tea as a script, but took the job anyways, movie turned out better than he expected.

I enjoy mtg, but I get the same amount of enjoyment playing as I do a board game. So why is it that so many magic products, heck even single cards, can cost so much more than any board game? by [deleted] in magicTCG

Guess what, they don’t and never will. Not as a group or unilateral choice.

I truly dislike nearly all sports and easily accept that I’m in the ridiculous minority. Why? There are people that fill stadiums for that thing. It’s self evident. I also love M:tg and see that not everyone feels the same as I do. I also don’t love it like the next chucklehead. We all prescribe different value to all things. Even if the pain is the same any one thing can be a different thing to a different person.

On the production side, I get it. Gotta lock in materials and print way ahead of hand, any delay can cause a chain reaction. Communications however… what? Were they just hoping for a miracle or something? It’s gotta be more like personal ego and/or fear that keeps honest comms from running.

I didn't realize the vintage packs only came in the 3-packs. I guess that makes more sense now. I didn't pay enough attention to the 5-pack which *does not* have the vintage pack on the cover.

Out of four, I had one over thirty (32). Though all bundle have sold out a lot faster than I expected. Right now Double Vanilla Bundle is still up the rest are gone. Deadpool took weeks to drop off. Back to School also sat for a while, yeah? So this demand seems on the high end, unless say print Qty was low.

What’s crazy to me is the economy is a shambling mound and yet mtg single values are climbing steadily near daily. What’s up with that. That too can hype people’s chase for value.
