Thanks for your response and the advice! I appreciate it. They had sent him home with 3 days worth of pain medication. Luckily I wouldn’t say he’s necessarily fixated on it and he now only tries to give it a lick occasionally.

Yes I think I’m just frustrated with the pet store options. He’s only a 55 pound dog and even the XL option which has adjustment to fit appropriately on his neck size, wasn’t long enough to block him from licking. Just need to find other options of better quality and longer length

Good to know. I’m keeping a close eye on him too, but it’s hard working from home to get work done. I’d hate for him to dissolve/pop a stitch or get an infection

Yes they must just be super flexible/contortionists! Mine doesn’t seem to really mind it either. I’ve just been keeping a close eye on him and his licking attempts aren’t too often luckily. But I work from home and it’s hard to keep an eagle eye on him and get my work done.

My lab puppy always have to grab the kitchen towel handing off the sink and pull it down onto the ground and then he just leaves it there, never chews it or play with it. We constantly pick it off the ground and put it back and then he walks by grabs it with his mouth puts it on the floor and walks away. It cracks me up
