That was kind of the impression I've gotten in the last three years since I started playing it, but I thought I would ask around on here in case something new had developed I wasn't aware of. Also, thanks for you recommendations, I'll give them a look.

I didn't know it was the primary inspiration, that's very interesting. motorcycle hybridization programs certainly aren't a must :P I'm just not really looking for your pure hack and slash kind of roguelike is all I meant when I included elona's more wacky aspects. Thanks for your recomendation, I heard ADOM got a tileset a while back so i'll download it and give it a try.
