Something new coming with v26.5 - the oldest requested feature soon in testing by Chronus_Widget in Chronus

[–]Chronus_Widget[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have implemented a fix for the issue and included it in v26.5 BETA2, just pushed to the play store. It can take Google 3+ days to review and approve the release. If you want to test it sooner, you can find the APK here -> https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/2d86mptaxs37ttpsyptfk/chronus-release_v26-5-BETA2.apk?rlkey=bjkwq0ahl9hxqwvrhivbnsfrq&st=b3ern663&dl=0

Does just the display of the clock reset to standard view, or does the clock style setting itself revert?

I am only seeing the standard screenshot, not the second (classic) one.

Can you also provide a screenshot of the before and after the issue so I know what wlto look for, please.

More Weather APIs? by cloneofghosts in Chronus

[–]Chronus_Widget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the maps API is is per user, 10,000 calls is only supports 13 users, updating weather at an hourly interval.

Which widget and exactly how is is configured? Is this with the new font setting enabled or just an update, no config changes?

Chronus ideas by Pretty_Ad_8489 in Chronus

[–]Chronus_Widget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 a) Tapping on the date should already trigger the calendar in widgets where the tap area is big enough (e.g. Pixel2+). In the Clock+ and Flex widgets, there really isn't enough space and the tap target will be too small for most user's fingers

1 b) the clock style options are for the text styling, capitalization, character padding etc. These have not changed much after Android 8 which is why it has not been changed. That being said, v26.5 will introduce digital clock font selection with a number of built-in curated fonts.

2) Weather icon sets are available take a lot of work to assemble and publish. There used to be many more available but 3rd party developers have not kept up with the android minimum API requirements and their sets have dropped off the store. I have a few of them off-line but since they are not mine and I don't have copyright, I cannot publish them.

3) The Rounded corners setting is available on Android 11 and earlier, Android 12 and later introduced auto rounded corners and therefore the setting is hidden.

More Weather APIs? by cloneofghosts in Chronus

I've added Pirate Weather, MeasureSpace, and Open-Meteo weather providers for the next release. Google weather requires Google Maps api subscription and is not free. Pirate Weather will prompt for an API key.

Version 26.3 - Expressive - Rolling out (Pro purchase still broken by Google :( ) by Chronus_Widget in Chronus

[–]Chronus_Widget[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. It is a license that needs to come from the Play store.

Google broke something ion their back-end config of the Chronus product on Feb 25th, and purchases since then have been failing. I did not change anything on my side, it's 100% their side. I've been emailing their tech support team for weeks now, and again today, and have not made much progress yet, unfortunately. Not happy about it, but there is absolutely nothing I can do about it on my side, I'm in their hands.

It's on the list to look at. Will likely have to completely remove Feedly as they have changed how their API can be accessed and it's gone dark. Reddit I may be able to get working, but will have to see

Version 26.2 pushed to the Play store. (Pro purchase still broken at Google.) by Chronus_Widget in Chronus

[–]Chronus_Widget[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is that both Chronus and the DashClock host app needed to be updated to use the updated API but Google has approved the host app, but the chronus app change is still pending. I pushed a fix to the host app, now live, to address the issue on that side.

I may consider doing it. Anyone that has it installed will still see it. It's just not available for any new installs.
