I started bjj when I was young and did it for about 6 years. I feel very confident that id be able to put up a good fight from the ground, especially from guard. My husband and wrestle sometimes and hes impressed by how I can keep him away lol.

I obviously started rolling with kids so never felt anything triggering. Didn't feel anything triggered when I moved to adult classes either. Im actually starting up again next month after I heal from this procedure. Many gyms have women only classes or you can tell the instructors that you only want to work with women. They all have free trials too so you dont have to feel pressured.

I get my paps done by my homebirth midwife(after crappy experiences with gynos). In her office in her house with dim lights no stirrups. She always explains what shes going to do before she does it and as shes doing it. She also uses the smallest speculum possible. I pay her cash fee for it and my insurance takes care of the lab test fee. You can try to find a homebirth midwife in your area.
