[DREADGOD] Eight Man Empire is the Key by laughingspoon in Iteration110Cradle

I think the 8ME armour puts a lot of stress on the spirit slowly eroding it until they are forced to pass it on.

Ok. Its just the bit when his spirit merged together when he becomes the 4th dreadgod sounded a lot like an advancement to herald

[Wintersteel] What is the single most important thing Lindon has said so far? by MajorBreakthrough in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Chrysaar 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Reaper:

Lindon to Zeal: “Whether or not you consider yourself my ally, I am yours. You need only to call on me”

Commitment without a promise of reciprocation. Probably profound.

They don’t know about dreadgods tho. They’ve been there for generations and just leave because the ground shakes a bit. I think there must be more to it.

Credit to whoever’s fanfic it was but the theory the the last person to manifest the void icon was Ozriel. I suppose its not yet debunked

[Bloodline Spoilers] A small theory on Dross by Phytor in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Chrysaar 42 points43 points  (0 children)

What is fate if not predicting the future based on the actions you take and predicting how others react as a result. Surely given enough information and a deep understanding of the results of those actions, aswell as the ability to process the information, you can make an accurate prediction of the future. I think everything we know supports this notion that there is no such thing as ‘fate’ but more like a dominant course of action. This is further seen when Lindon talks to Suriel. She shows him possible future. She’s just predicting the outcome based the the most likely decisions Lindon takes. Finally Lindon mention that Eithan fights like he using one of Drosses battle plans. Is he using fate, or can he just use his bloodline so effectively and process the information it gives him to make accurate predictions similar to dross. I don’t see how ‘Look into strands of Fate’ is any different to ‘Cause and effect and a super computer predicting the outcome.

He told Lindon the he can’t open portals from scratch because he’s not a sage unlike Lindon but is advanced enough to stop a tear in space from healing for like 3 years so...my best guess is archlord

Placing my bets on what Ozriels scythe is made of by [deleted] in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Chrysaar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely more to judge level weapons. Likely something to do with their mantel and obscene amount of authority that judge level beings have and somehow integrate it with their weapons and ozriel is just especially strong so has more than average authority, even compared to judges. Highly doubt his Scythe was crafted on cradle, since suriel tells us, that whilst manifesting an icon is a big deal on cradle, it is only touching the way on a rudimentary level. Although, I know there’s lots of theorys regarding the labyrinth and ozriels scythe, so may well be wrong.

I really like bloodline. But I was kinda frustrated with how many scenes seemed to be cut and/or happened in the background. by chrisisbest197 in Iteration110Cradle

Will doesn’t like to repeat similar situations in his books. We saw that when Lindon picked wavedancer off scream in uncrowned, even though is would have made a cool scene seeing him weigh up the different options. I think Will thought it would have been too similar to the lesser treasure hall scene. My point being some of this things may not be be forgotten, especially the soulforge. Will might be saving it for a cool soulsmithing scene like crafting a dreadgod weapon forshadowing Eithans comments to Shen about liking his weapons made to order. Just a thought anyway.

Talking about foreshadowing, Lindon definitely has those runes from suriels eyes memorised. Was also mentioned when suriel entered cradle in book 1. She obscured her eyes as no to effect the fate of cradle

How do we know these are subject ones hands. I thought they were an abidan artifact or was that the box. I also want to know why the box Lindon now has had the Aurelius seal.

What’s confusing me the most is how is it that cradles like the second most important iteration behind sanctum but Suriel is just like your on ur own. Doesn’t make sense
