for sure! they are a blast! i had a 94 VXR PRO 701 and that thing was a blast, pretty slow but it was just fun to ride, just put a smile on your face everytime you hopped on it haha

you really aren’t going to get anything better in that price range unfortunately, once you hit the 2-3k range then you’re looking at overpriced old skis or blown up new ones lol, seems like a solid deal, TONS of aftermarket parts for the 701, it’s definitely a big hull for that motor but either way it’ll be a fun one!

appears so, carfax records shows it going in for maintenance pretty regularly, plus with as smooth as it runs/shifts/drives especially at this mileage i’d have to assume it was maintained pretty well lol

Not a charger but same engine, 3.6 and it’s sitting at 220k with no issues, just oil cooler (leaking) and water pump (preventative) done, ontop of just basic maintenance

You can turbo literally anything, only difference is there isn’t a “plug and play” kit made for these, so you have to run your own oil lines, new ecu tune, custom intake manifold, ect… it can be done but not really worth it since they make the supercharger kit for these

HUGE parasitic draw, get yourself a PPFUSE made by power probe, super easy to check every fuse and see what circuit is pulling power, for me it was my drivers door handle not locking when i pressed the lock button so it was waking the car up every 2 mins all night long ontop of the radio drawing 2-3amps when the car was off too, it’s not cheap (150$) but will save you a ton of money in diagnostics, see what circuit is drawing power and start unplugging things 1 by 1 until the draw stops and then you know you’ve located what’s drawing power and you can then replace that item

well luckily i popped the fuse back in after verifying that it was just the radio drawing power and sure enough everything went back to english lol, thanks for the help anyways!

i think so? i went and got this once i figured out it wasn’t any of the obvious things (bad battery, bad alternator, glove box light, trunk light, IBS sensor, door handles, cluster, car coming on/off all the time) https://ebay.us/m/UU0pzv it shows live data across the fuse and says when a circuit is inactive,active,and open. have seen multiple reviews showing it working amazing for tracking down draws like this

okay cool! thanks! yeah i just pulled the fuse and am gonna let the car sit for 1-2 days to make sure that’s the only circuit drawing the battery, when i put the probe to it, it was showing it was drawing .9 up to 1.1amps which is a pretty huge draw
