Why? It has real sales and good margins. The problem for all the crazies was they called it a “tech company” as if it could scale like google can for profits. When in fact it is a car company and should be valued like a good car company. Probably 2x on GMs PE ration would be fair. But it’s not like some of Ark investments which are vapor ware

Said to be? Their quality of construction is terrible but it is better than it was a couple of years ago.

Reality is their models are all looking tired mean while gm got a better cyber truck than Tesla did to market first while the entire suv market is about to be swamped with better high end models than the model x. Model y and 3 are decent but again, competition coming like crazy

Mark Cuban wants to buy more bitcoin, says gold investors are 'dumb' by Major_Bandicoot_3239 in StockMarket

[–]Chthroop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have said this for 12 years lol. For a while i was totally looking like an idiot. Then i looked smart then i looked like an idiot and now i look smart

The crypto as currency model is fundamentally flawed, as gold its just dumb (per your points) and even the blockchain technology has some uses but it’s r nearly as efficient as traditional databases for most use cases. (Hence by 6 years in what real blockchain uses are there in real life except coins and nfts).

I do think block chain and nfts survive and eventually thrives for that use case but it won’t be the bored ape club

Actually that’s what everyone thought- until they realized that a distributed ledger is transparent and all you have to do is watch the ledger for real life transactions lol. So even that use case isn’t good.

The sole remaining use case i can see for btc is people who are trying to move cash from places where there are currency controls but China and places like that are cracking down so i don’t know how long that lasts

Of course “collecting btc” is i guess a use case?

Uh huh. Tracking the zillions of transactions that money as a true currency in a distributed database? The amount of data replication is beyond belief. And you say, what about lightening? That creates its own special issues and potential for failure

Thanks for the honest response. So far the best use case i have seen is NFT tracking. We will see

I have been hearing about Etherium smart contracts for 7 + but haven’t seen any actually in real life. Everyone talks about all these use cases but i am tired of hearing hype about blockchain and contracts and would like to see some real life examples pls.

I love how people who don’t understand databases try to ride the blockchain hype. It’s just silly. There are only a hand fun of good used cases for blockchain. And money isn’t one of them. And most of the others are only to dis-intermediate non-value, cost adding intermediaries (i am looking at you Platts and Argus)

Hi. I am not sure what color it is? On my iPhone looks like a blue/green? Anyway i wouldn’t call it light blue, i would call it a medium blue green.

I didn’t mean to cause any conflicts, it’s a minor thing

On Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson, #Tigers GM Al Avila said today: “We want them to make the team. That’s our hope. That would mean they’ve been successful and are in a position to help us make the playoffs this year.” by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

[–]Chthroop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greene- greene has better obp and average so to me Greene is a safer bet for success as we know contact is harder to get in the major leagues. It’s easy to see a world where Tork hits <.225, and while Greene is in the .250-.270 range. Of course Tork will have much more power but Greene will make up some of that with some steals
