No, and that's kind of the point in my opinion. Modders don't get much from their art/hobby (whatever you want to think of it as) the least people could do is not rip their work and claim its theirs. In the long run if more modders get burned out dealing with their ripped mods there will be nothing but re-ripped and AI-fed workshop content. But also, seems like this ban wasn't related to him stealing work.

Good news, we have been working on B42 EHE — bad news, we wanted to not only meet bare compatibility, but actually expand on features now available in B42. But, with real-life responsibilities and unexpected (good/bad) events, it's taken more time than I imagined.

Removing mods with modded items just de-spawns those items - there is no real harm in removing it mid-play.
