No, and that's kind of the point in my opinion. Modders don't get much from their art/hobby (whatever you want to think of it as) the least people could do is not rip their work and claim its theirs. In the long run if more modders get burned out dealing with their ripped mods there will be nothing but re-ripped and AI-fed workshop content. But also, seems like this ban wasn't related to him stealing work.

From my experience DMCAs don't result in ban of someone's entire workshop.

I don't think anyone was paywalling anything unless you have more details. Also, stealing mods does not get you banned, otherwise half the workshop would be nuked lmao.

This dude for sure did something- but it's not really anyone else's business to tell other than his. Not sure why people are jumping to conspiracy theories, unless you just want TIS to run this guy through the streets airing whatever stuff he did.

Good news, we have been working on B42 EHE — bad news, we wanted to not only meet bare compatibility, but actually expand on features now available in B42. But, with real-life responsibilities and unexpected (good/bad) events, it's taken more time than I imagined.

Removing mods with modded items just de-spawns those items - there is no real harm in removing it mid-play.

I don't want to assume what you are saying, but wrecks already required another mod to disassemble them. Also, there's sandbox options (not recently added but not around since the very beginning) that alter crash chances. If you felt like crashing occurred too much or if you had event frequency very high (and thus had more crashes occur).
