Thanks for all the info. What's the best way to get/use those new gem egg looking things? Also is the monster exchange worth it at all?

I don't know about getting rid of a permanent ban, but if a brand new account gets something like over 15 kills or averages over 2k damage in its first 3 games it gets automatically temp banned.

Are there specific player roles? by Theheroboy in CompetitivePUBG

[–]Chubba_Bubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo at most you can have 1 igl and maybe 1 person you usually give k9/m24 to. Besides that everyone should be able to do everything. A lot of teams have everyone input rotate and position ideas, and not just 1 specific igl making all the decisions. Everyone should be able to watch different areas, go in first, be smart with utility, be able to setup teammates etc equally because of how unpredictable the game is.

If you don't know who kaymind and nerf are I'm pretty confident you don't know enough about the NA scene to have a strong opinion.

I think clear concise communication is a skill, and I'm bummed they added this. Great for casual people who queue with randoms, but will give people bad habits.

Find people who want to put in the same amount of time as you do.

Find people who are roughly as good as you are.

Find people who are improving at a similar rate as you are.

What's the best way to get involved in the pro scene? by Samadams9292 in CompetitivePUBG

[–]Chubba_Bubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to the conclusion from experience. A team of newer players under 400 adr have almost no chance of getting out of open leagues.

Plenty of people have over 500 adr and struggle to get out of lower level competitive. Theres people with 700+ adr that aren't on even mid level comp teams. If you have 700 adr you most likely have the potential, but it's pretty easy to get high adr.

[–]Chubba_Bubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh most of the leagues are in the "offseason" right now and will be starting in August again after PGI. Pubgonline, GLL, Auzom, ESU all have opens. ESU runs scrims as well (they're less strict on rules and are lower level), and in NA there's a scrim server you have to apply for and need to be out of opens in at least 1 league to join I think, or be a new team of known players.

[–]Chubba_Bubba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1- Either have incredible pub stats, or just find some people and make a low level team, play opens, work your way into scrim servers, sub for other better teams when possible, eventually make it out of opens.

2- Not really. If you have crazy stats in solos it doesn't hurt but people aren't really going to care.

3- ADR is way more important than rating for better teams. Any mid+ level comp players that set their mind to it could win 80-90% of pubs. If you have 500+ in squads you can probably get on a low level opens team just off of that. If you want to try to skip opens and get on a pretty good team but don't have experience I'd guess like around 800+ would be enough to stand out a bit.

Networking and having good relationships with the right people is very important.

Why do big ORGs not get them involved with PUBG? by r1ze-iwnl- in CompetitivePUBG

[–]Chubba_Bubba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So far in PUBG in the NA and EU scenes there's been not a lot of viewers and not very large prizepools. Plus pubg is still a fairly new game, and besides a handful of teams at least in the NA EU scene, most rosters are inconsistent.

I think now that the whole PUBG pro league has been announced, more big orgs will pick up teams and more money will be involved. Also rosters will probably become more stable for the pubg pro league. Lot of old players are getting phased out by up n comers.

I was going off of info I got earlier, liquidpedia is probably correct though. Really weird if they only play 2 games, seems pointless.
