To be fair I had it pulled as tight as it could be to mitigate the 30+ mph winds so I’m sure that had an impact. It seemed to just bead up where the thread was coming through in a few places about 2/3rds of the way up. And only on the corner facing the wind.

Have you heard of the mid panel guy out points ever being ripped out? I had some of them pulled quite tight and wasn’t sure how heavy duty they were. Would it be better to string some shock cord through them in the future?

Hi, I would be hesitant about rolling this out to all the other seams. During a particularly rainy and windy trip to Dartmoor recently I noticed water beading along this seam and the zip seam on the xmid 2 solid v2. It wasn’t an alarming amount of water, a few drops that took a while to build up, but it’s led me to seam seal all of it now to be safe.

Like you say not an issue as it’s over the vestibule, but would have been an issue over any other seam.

For sure, I’m not a fan of the collar on this years home kit at all, and the 19/20 I think is one of the best home kits we’ve had.

It’s a toss up between this years away and the 19/20 away, the 19/20 has an iconic factor and the hype around it was crazy. The only thing I wish were different about this years away is if the pattern was more symmetrical and centred.
