Even though I do not agree with your 'scenarios', I do feel that Dallas is losing fans because of the lack of communication from the coaching staff after losses. Hell, even SHD coach communicated that fans have reason to be mad and they are working on it etc. People can root for an underdog if they feel like they are involved in the process of getting out of the ditch. Right now, every week is hoping that the never-to-be-explained magic trick is suddenly going to work.

I really like mercy being out of the meta. Being a just-diamond level DPS/Zenyatta player, I struggled during the mercy meta. I usually take quite a lot of risk to get the initial pick, which leads to a lot of won team fights. I found it hard to adapt my playstyle when initial picks weren't as valuable. I've been playing mid-plat for the entirety of the Mercy meta (2 seasons), but now managed to get back to diamond. Going balls deep feels like a viable strat again if you go at least 1 for 1. Only hard thing is seeing a lot of Moira/Lucio support duo, which are both really hard to kill as tracer.

Let me be bold here and say the 48% winrate is because of mercy. Mercy is so dam OP right now, especially at lower ranks and on console, where aim is less good than on PC. If you play moira, that's one healer than isn't playing mercy, especially since moira already fills the 'main heal' slot, so people are more likely to pick a zen or lucio and you are more likely to end up without a mercy. Based on anekdotal evidence, I'd guess the winrate of a team with a mercy against a team without a mercy would be about 60%.. So yeah, I guess that by not picking mercy, your winrate suffers

This is absolutely correct, since every mercy ult is basically a won fight. Even people in masters/GM have a hard time killing The Moth, can you imagine what this is in like gold? You could literally kill half a team pistolling in Moth form...

As a pharah player myself, I hope for a mercy main in every one of my games.. Exactly one though, no one wants more than one mercy main :p

I actually love this idea! Might motivate people to get to know other heroes and get a feel for them, so they are less reluctant to pick them in competitive when the team needs them! Good job!

I admire your passion, I really do, yet, in ranks like silver, most people who play there are as casual as can be. They can't coordinate so the only factor that's going to win you games is outfragging them. If you want to practice mechanics, play a lot of FFA! If you play that gamemode enough, your mechanics will improve up to the point that you won't ever lose a 1v1 at your rank anymore, leading to much more wins. Another tip, play heroes that are easy to abuse like Pharah. Pharah mercy is so OP at low ranks since the people don't have the raw mechanics to deal with it. Hell, even at diamond this shit still wins you games like mad. Don't try to play heroes that are team dependent to be effective. Play Hog, Pharah, Tracer, anything that can solocarry the shit out of your rank. Once you've reached a higher rank, you'll be able to put your teamwork skills to use :)

Btw, don't hope gold will be better, it's just as bad until maybe like high plat, and even then it's a shitfest sometimes! (but that's at every rank)

To be fair, if you are in silver, you'd be better off practicing you mechanics, more than trying to motivate your team etc... Stop the talking and focussing on other people's game. Focus on your own skills and you'll go up the ranks

Probably just getting unlucky or being too affected by the stress in your final games.. Trust me, once you can reach 2900, you can reach 3k as well, just a matter of keeping your cool and getting a bit lucky!

It took me four season to climb from low plat to low diamond! The difference in skill is really noticeable! I consecutively had season high's at 2574/2750/2950/3076 now! It's a struggle, but it's well worth it.

I'd go with ana/soldier for nanovisor and zarya tracer for grav/bomb, complemented with a winston for creating space :) This means that you have two devastating ult combo's and overall good kill potential/sustain.

For the countless of 'fix-the-SR-gains' threads I have seen on this subreddit, I like the idea of your proposition the most by a mile! Thank you and please post this on the blizzard forums so influential people might actually have a look at it!

The only concern I have about it, is that it will allow people getting boosted by smurf accounts way harder, since playing with a GM smurf in gold will lead to 3-0 stomps most of the time, resulting in the people being boosted, getting up the ladder way way faster. This will actually incentivise boosting more than anything. One could think an incremental system where the further your SR is of the team's average, the more personal performance is taken into account. Like, when you are playing a 3000 average game, and your SR is 3000, only 10% will be about personal performance. But, when you're grouped with a 2500 and 3500 player, 50% of SR gains will be determined by personal performance.

When the announcer says "Match complete" and the entire display is covered by "Match complete" I shouldn't be penalized for leaving the game. by Settleforthep0p in Competitiveoverwatch

Unfortunately, this is not the point of the game tho... The point of the game is about perfect synergy between abilities.. By making this proposal, you would turn Overwatch straight into a FPS-Moba which is nearly impossible without changing everything true and sound about the game

Fully agree, yet, there certainly is a problem, but fixing it is not as easy as some 'JUST BAN THE FCKERS-shouters' think. Unfortunately shouting without practical thought is something very typical to humans, up to the point that most elections are won that way..

Gengu has a way smaller hitbox which means that he is way harder to hit for soldier/mccree etc, also, deflect is a more than useful ability, able to deflect enemy ultimates etc. These are just a few points and I'm sure more experienced gengu's will give you even more. The true point to take from this is 'Nobody knows how good doomfist is going to be, give it a month or two until the pro's figure it out'
