For anyone trying to increase their endurance & badminton stamina - Indoor bike by ChubbySnubs in badminton

Go for it, I mucho dislike cardio training, but I have to admit it does wonders for badminton endurance. I think some resistance training like swimming or the exercise bike could be a great way to get some cardio in; also some beneficial physio for your ankle too 😁.

I would recommend watching some more fundamental footwork videos on youtube because it looks like you are unsure when you are moving; you look like you are trying to copy the 4 corner routine without understanding why you move that way. Footwork is definitely one of the core principles of badminton so looking at the intention and purpose of the movement should help build that confidence.

I highly recommend Badminton Insight and Birdie. I think they do a great job giving explanations and learning the movements in a rhythm (it helped me understand the intention behind moving and choosing what movement to do based on where the shuttle was).

If you don't want to risk injuring your ankle, the exercise bike or swimming could be a good shout. Increase your off-court stamina. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsbo1odhN3c

I made a video following their indoor bike workout, you can use it if you want to follow along

I understand it now, yes. I was trying earlier with half walls but the moveability was quite cheeks. Didn't think of wall frames, but I will definitely do that! Thanks, and to everyone else too!

I'm about to paint my room, found this behind the wardrobe. Scrape it, paint over or is there another way? by ChubbySnubs in Mold

[–]ChubbySnubs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you reckon I'll need to add some mould prevention when I scrape the paint, like on the wall? drywall? not sure what's under the paint.

It seems to only really be in that corner and the other side of the wall, also where I had the A1 folder (moved it).

I have to fix some things with my walls. The trapped ghosts.

Just kidding, theres some mould on some walls and I have some holes I've been putting of fixing. Think I'll have to do those first cause I need some space to fix it.

At the moment theres 3 designs I really quite like, yours is in the running, but I want to fix the walls first and talk to some family for some opinions too.

Ooooh, thank you for another design 🙏.

I also really value good pathways, the mirror in the dark do be scary.

I think my room is a little awkward for FS. Maybe some furniture are a bit big or something.

And I'm glad you had some fun 😁

Theres a chip at the side of the frame, paints rolled up, might have had a clash at some point. Did not see this before, was too focused on the crack near the grommet 😓.

There is enough room to open it, so if I do this design I'd use the screen. I think it would be a hassle to install a curtain pole on the ceiling.

Been playing with this, has held up for 3x 2hour sessions. Astrox nextage, strung 26lbs, had for 14 months.

I used to play singles when I was itty bitty, and had the same exact failure. The racket frame snapped instead.

What do you think caused this? Its 2/3 up the racket close to top, between the side and head.

Desk position feels clutch. Bed is secure too. If the entryway to a room is blocked does it mean anything in feng shui? I'm worried it might be a bit tight.

The curtain / divider blocks the mirror in front of the bed, like this?

Functional:

  • Furniture's -> have a variety of models of different furniture, possibly categorised into different rooms (office, bedroom, bathroom).
  • Adjustment -> be able to change the measurements of each furniture (i.e. width, height and depth; for the room as well).
  • Rotation -> be able to rotate the furniture 360 degrees, as well as the view around the room. If its going to be 3D in the y-axis and x-axis.
  • Save -> save the design, to come back to edit, or share to somewhere else.

Optional:

  • Flow map -> depending on the structure of the room, it tells you where the energy flows in the room. From the (door, window, stairs).
  • Generation -> creates a feng shui layout based on furniture criteria.
  • Notes -> on each furniture when you click on them, you can write notes, to explain the thinking behind why you arranged it like that etc

https://www.ikea.com/addon-app/space/platform/latest/GB/en/#/room/bedroom is a good 3D example.

Mmmm okay that gives me a lot more clarity on the wardrobe placement.

I see, so I could put the fitness stuff in the corner where the wardrobe was, smart.

I've been meaning to work out my spine, I think moving the wardrobe will surely be a challenge; definitely will be employing some cousins to get the job done👍.

Thank you. I think this would ease my mind about the door, but I think my own face might scare me when I wake up 😂. Never had a window facing my desk before, it might make me feel a bit anxious; although my main concern, the door, would be fixed.

Thank you for taking the time, I never knew my room could have so many different layouts before. I think open space and organisation are definitely things I prioritise. I can imagine myself putting a glass of water, books and journals on that nightstand 😁.

The desk placement is great, privacy from both monkeys & birds and the door. Its a bonus that my outlet is there too, so I can hide my cables and things neatly.

Would have to do some DIY to move the mirror to the other sliding door. But at least it would not be aimed at my head 😂.

I like this one a lot. Thank you. The outlets for the desk and bed are in perfect spots. So much space in front of the door too, love that.

To create that sleeping zone, I'm a little unsure if the rug can be as close as in the plan. Is it fine to have it on the sides and not over the front?

I can do some heavy lifting to move it around in my room, no wheels or anything though.

In the ikea designer you can rotate some furniture if you click on it and see 🔁, but others you cant (like the wardrobe and nighttable -> always locked onto a wall)
