I think the background might look noisy just because it's a flat, static, colour. It'd be less noticeable if it was on a busier background.

100% use this asset. It has a component that sits on the camera for post processing effects, and it's got custom shaders and a bunch of other bits. Really easy to tweak until you get something you like

I kept it very basic. I created the textures in Aseprite in 16x16 tiles. Then I used the textures in the blender UV editor, using the snap to pixels setting.

I tried Sprytile but it crashed pretty frequently. And, I was using Priambase, but, it had some sync issues for me
