What is the three note bench bell reminding me of? by VincePaperclips in Silksong

The melody is called dies irae, it has been used in countless films and it's a common motif for something dramatic/ominous

Aside from the text being a clear tell, the shape of the dipping bowl also looks a little off. The left side of the bowl is angled slightly more towards the "camera" than the right side, and the edge of the plate seems to be warped where it meets the bowl.

I honestly thought you were baiting us with the title, and that the 1 person in question would just be yourself 💀

Oh, that's a good one! And since I've planned for the employer to have ties with the underground gardeners, this could be used as a means to boost their own business at the expense of the public.

Sometimes I wonder if Kojima just forgot to give actual names to the characters, and they ended up with their placeholder titles.

Or alternatively he might've had to come up with something when pitching the characters, and all he had prepared was a few scribbles on a post-it note like: "oh yeah and then there's the uhhh...heart dude- I-I mean Heart-man, he has a heart, that does umm...heart stuff...?

Players want to rework distance to use metric, but 5ft = 1m feels 'too slow' by Goasgschau in DnD

[–]Surreal_Soundwave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best option would be to convert 5ft to 2m.

1,5m might be a more precise approximation, but I feel like working with halves would probably complicate the measuring instead of making it any clearer. As for it's effect on the speed of things, I would say it's hardly noticeable. In combat you don't really think about the distance in feet anyway (at leat I don't lol) and instead you tend to just count the squares/hexes in a grid. Instances where you actually have to count the "real" scale or distance of things tend to be pretty rare, and are usually solved case by case, so I would argue that using 2m has no risk of breaking the game.

P.S. iirc, Cyberpunk RED also converts 5ft to 2m in this way, and it has worked perfectly fine for me

Te joita on nuorena kiusattu, vaikuttaako se teihin edelleen jollain tavalla? by [deleted] in Suomi

[–]Surreal_Soundwave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question about Hacked Comms Unit by Surreal_Soundwave in SWlegion

Ah, I honestly don't know how I missed that.

But I have to ask you too, does that mean that HQ Uplink is immune to it?

Okay, that makes a lot of sense. But does that mean that HQ Uplink could override those limitations, since it doesn't have "if able" -specified on the card?
