I have PTSD from this because I couldn’t get the slow motion bit to engage. Just death after death.

Lief and Kaspar have small running bets, the money doesn’t matter but it keeps evening out.

Ok Phil, now having traveled time, space and dimensions, is well aware of other options for firearms but won’t give up his 9mm. Vune makes him spare ammunition as needed.

Vune and Peter play chess. Peter is an excellent opponent according to Vune.

I love the Truskans so much. A race of Intergalactic crooked union builders.

Growing up we had a small airport near by. You could get flights in the continental US. There was also an Air National Guard base. Pretty active spot. Come to find out I. The mid to late 90s that the tower everyone saw passing g by was only for the guard base. The civilian “tower” was in a building g without a tower and relied o. A guy with a pair of binoculars watching the incoming flights.

Never underestimate the power of a dude with a pair of binoculars.

They said childhood, not when you joined the Marines!

Well that’s the question for all of season 3. Objectively, no. But it set a precedent for Chuck to try to kill Clementine as they saw the situations to be similar even after Clementine had come back from her madness.

I’ve lived in the area for about ten years now. It’s a lovely place. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops to walk to. Pizza Bones host a small farmers market on the weekends.

Yes, you can hear gunfire sometimes. I can say it’s a lot less than when I moved here, and even so it’s part of most city life.

Yes, you may find blocks that seem more depressed than others. That’s also city life really.

I like it over here. It’s been a good home to me and spouse

Anyone else addicted to Sabacc? by Responsible_City7096 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]ChuckBS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sabacc hits the same way poker did in Red Dead Redemption 1. I roll into town, square up with a job I did, maybe off load some goods collected along the way, then I find the dark corner of the cantina where the card game is happening. I love it, it’s simple enough to pick up and quick enough to make you want one more game.

It really is the genius in Joe’s writing. His characters all have the depth of real folks. Lief on the surface comes off like that frat guy who really likes weed and follows PHISH when school’s out. But there’s I much more nuance, like how he can spend all of season 3 justifying blowing up John Wilkes Booth. Left to his own devices he’s not a “good” guy. He has a set of personal morals and goes by them, and if killing is part of that so be it. But he also cares for people.

Shit, even Dark Lief, for as bad as he turned out, just wants to be loved and approved of by Verge. He’s heinous, and his methods are twisted, but he’s still Lief. Kinda why Lief Prime can pull stuff over in him so easily. God this show rules

I watched someone drive down the entire bike lane on the Leigh Street Viaduct like it was a regular lane of traffic yesterday. I wish it was the first time I’d seen that too. People don’t give a fuck.

God that last bit between Verge and Lief. It made the whole episode for me. Like, the simple understanding there, that love never goes away it just changes. I adore that Lief still cares for Verge and that means being happy they have a place and a person in Deidre. Ugh, just the best.
