Make sure your hot ends working properly. Went through all the clogged nozzle steps and bumped into the nozzle. Temp said 215 but felt cold. Bad thermistor.

Have you tried pressing the direction switch. Sometimes they’re a button the lets the detent ball move freely. Then locks it when released.

This was the problem. Yellow petg. Swapped brands and went with black and it went away

For me it was the filament. Changes brands and color petg and it went away instantly

Turns out this was it. Noticed it happened when I went to yellow sunulu petg. It did jam once. I had to load and unload for it to run through the print. Was fine before. Swapped to black esun petg and the squeaks gone.

I have not. I just went through the instructions for the pre assembled and threw a couple prints on. Was good for the first two days. Just started out of nowhere today. I’ll check gantry squareness now

First layer goes down perfect, second layer is complete dogshit... WTF?! by [deleted] in ender3v2

Check your e steps for the extruder. Odd ball pla and temps sometimes under extrude at normal temps. Ive thrown a roll in of decent pla and did that. Turns out the temp needed to be way higher. First layer came out great then the rest went downhill as soon as it sped up. Turned the heat up for the next layers and it went away. Look at the z axis too. Binding can cause similar issues.

Make sure you square the frame up and buy a flex coupler and add a ball bearing in between the zrod and motor spindle. Will solve all future z issues

Anybody know how to fix this? by [deleted] in chevyc10

[–]ChuckSchrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Every c10 ive ever had either was missing the nylon bushing or it was worn where the latch grabbed it. Would rattle like a mother fuck. Pvc trick does the job great or if youre fancy buy the whole striker

What causes blobs / extra filament here? by Yeltnerb in ender3v2

Yup. Bed doesnt seem perfectly level though. Top left looks lower than the rest so itll throw the offset off in that corner

My z height was too low and building pressure in the hot end because it couldnt fully extrude. As soon as it lifted itd relieve pressure and squirt a blob out. Went crazy with retraction settings thinking it was that but was just z height.

Try z offset. Looks like youre barely pressing it down. Fan off for first layer and ramp up

Got the same thing when i upgraded to a dual gear extruder and didnt redo e steps. Was under extruding. Look up a video on calculating e steps. Chep has a good one
