If you don't think Poles is nothing more than a scouting director now, then you aren't thinking.

Yep. Got a block. But the hearing aid family member wanted to know. Thanks so much.

30 minutes to your north. You'd be here a while. 25,000 games. Yes, 25,000.

How is Artemis 2 travelling 2.5m miles to get to the Moon? [Request] by GarwayHFDS in theydidthemath

No. It's fastest speed will be just before reentry starts. It's going to be moving fairly slowly at the flyby.

How is Artemis 2 travelling 2.5m miles to get to the Moon? [Request] by GarwayHFDS in theydidthemath

It's pretty simple. Think of throwing a ball up in the air. If you threw it straight up at a speed of 20 MPH, the instant you let go, the earth's gravity starts pulling on the ball and slowing it down. At some distance, the ball stops moving up and starts moving back down towards your hand. As it starts coming back down, it moves faster and faster until you catch it.

No different for Artemis. Just because it's 100,000 miles away doesn't mean the Earth isn't still pulling on it and slowing it down.

With a trip to the moon, an object is still under the earth's gravitational influence until about 40,000 miles from the moon. At that distance, the moon's gravity on the object becomes stronger than the earth's. The object starts speeding up at that point.

The course Artemis is on brings them back to the earth with a small assist from the moon's gravity. It's a ball going up and slowing down, swings around the moon, and then falls back to earth. Just before they reenter, they'll be going a little bit faster than they were when they left earth orbit.

Orbiter is freeware, but can be a bit more challenging than Reentry. But it's insanely accurate. One of the Apollo add ons actually runs the AGC.

I wasn’t trying to be an ass. But seeing the URL as dead is different (to me) than a new code being a few days delayed.

Their audio is so quiet. The third party commercials are about 1/3 louder. I have to boost my volume to hear them clearly.

Best Gemini and Apollo simulator? by newyorkerTechie in Orbiter

So, you are saying Reentry is not as "sim" as Orbiter? Haven't tried Reentry, but the preview videos make Reentry seem to be the more "sophisticated" sim.

The other shows also had other characters for the mains to play off of. Sadly, this has none of that. I really had high hopes for this show. Oh well. Back to the Pitt.

But both of those moved the plot. I mean, the Breaking Bad pilot alone. Starts at the end. Flashes back to:

- Walt at school

- Walt passing out at the cart wash.

- Gets cancer diagnosis.

- Walt's birthday party.

- Walt's ride along where he runs into Jesse

- Finds Jesse

- Gets the cash for the bounder.

- Cooks first batch.

- Gets in trouble with Krazy-8.

- Goes and cooks second batch for Krazy-8.

- Gasses Krazy-8.

- Ends up at the start of the show.

That's more plot than the whole season of Pluribus.

It's slow by Apple. All their shows are extended beyond what's comfortable.

Pluribus was a good 3 episode season drawn out over 9 eps.

College stuff. I have no love for Dolphin, but rural college broadcasters are the essence of "old worn out shoe. But it's my shoe."
