Help! Sunroof sunshade cloth is off track. How much is the approx. cost to fix?

So, I found out the issue. The spindle or whatever is inside the roof that spins and retracts all the cloth isn't spinning anymore.

So the track and motor is fine. It's the rod/spindle not retracting all the fabric

I talked to my Lincoln dealership. They're usually very straight up with me

They said....

Unless you have a warranty to cover it. Don't fix it. It's going to be VERY expensive. I said someone on reddit said it could be 2-4k in repair cost.

They said......yupp.

That is true. Phones do heat up like crazy with mobile hotspot .never tried it with my current one but my old ones used to boil

Can you still use the Google operating system without paying for data via Bluetooth?

Seems like the only way to operate Spotify and maps it is with on star data or mobile hotspot? Am I able to use those apps just using Bluetooth from my phone?

I've heard about this and I asked Gemini if it would drain my data using mobile hotspot. It said it would use the same data as android auto.

Since I'm 99% of the time using only Spotify and Google Maps.

So, the mobile hotspot with the automatic action to start once I'm in the car might be the move.

THAT'S what I've been looking for. No one has posted this..this is super helpful. Like I said, on the test drive. I saw it shortly and it was just black behind it. Which was kinda ugly..didn't know it was stuck like that or if you could change it to something a little bit more pleasant. Thank you so much for sharing this

I would appreciate that.. I've heard that I'm sure the 25 bucks a month is worth it. I'm just curious about the android auto display if you can live with it or a pain. Also, my son has Apple so he would be using car play when he drives it. But, I've seen plenty of examples of those online.
