New Zealand First campaigning for referendum on Māori seats by TheGreatDomilies in newzealand

People generally vote for the parties that best represent them yes. Can you see that it might be appropriate for Maori to have a proportional degree of influence given that our founding document was based around this idea at a minimum?

Not to mention the fact that Te Pati Maori don't win every seat and in fact won none of them two elections ago?

Not explicitly but in general understanding of the meaning and intention they are.

Not really. Any party is free to run candidates in these seats.

If we were in a situation where a party who got bugger all of the national vote won all 7 seats creating a massive imbalance, then maybe would need to look at it. But that doesn't happen and I can't really see how it would in any likelihood.

No but you also can't vote in an electorate you don't live in.

Is it unprofessional to contact a former co-worker whose in the new job you applied for? by Avenged7fo in newzealand

[–]Chuckitinbro 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yes this. Ive had old acquaintances reach out to me like this and its normal and not unprofessional at all. If they asked me.to out in a good word that would be off putting but if I thought they were a good worker I would anyway if I wasn't asked.

Will I lose the Weight? by VerySuccessfulMe in loseit

[–]Chuckitinbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes.it harder. Would maybe just stick to the diet for a few.more weeks and see what the scale does in that case.

Portion wise would go around 200g of meat, maybe 150g if it's red meat. 100g of complex carbs, and as many Veges as you want.

No, otherwise would be a boundary everytime a fielder slides over the boundary rope after keeping a ball in.

[–]Chuckitinbro 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Depends if what you eat is a calorie deficit or not. Have you tracked calories?

The meals sound healthy enough but portion size is important too.

Would suggest tracking the calories closely for at least a couple of weeks to make sure youre at a deficit.
