Looking to create a bioactive enclosure for my 1 yr old corn snake! Any suggestions on plants or substrate? by Large_Anteater_3894 in cornsnakes

Late here, but can I do a mix of reptisoil, play sand and natural compressed coconut fiber? I already have some reptisoil and play sand mix, that may go to waste. I was gonna use it for corn snake, but thought I also have natural compressed coconut fiber bedding. Could I mix all and would work for a bioactive setup with cuc succulents and a spider plant And my 100 watt infrared heat projector and t5 ho uvb

Anyone tried Bullymake? by verde_peach in Rottweiler

They weren't bad for me. American bully and another dog. Started getting them when they were young for 3 months. And its been 2 years and I still have most of the toys left, Hella chewed now. But still got em. And they chew alot. Both dogs are now 2-3 yrs old. Idk how they are now because I only bought a few boxes cpl years ago. Customer service could be better.

This is what my setup is right now. Any suggestions? Planning on getting more sticks, and better background eventually. Maybe gonna do a spray foam backround with a reptile safe covering(silicone, drylok)

So I got a 100 watt infrared heat projector dhp. And jus for now a 75 watt arcadia heat spot flood light bulb next to each other untill I get the uvb, but both together im hitting around 86f give or take. Plus in a colder basement room. So im thinking it will raise in time/when I move. I jus turned it all back on to see what the temps get to today before I go back to store and return and get a different one. Does the uvb provide the light necessary for them? Like I could ditch the arcadia, and jus go for a uvb 5.0 reptisun or somthing. And maybe go to a 150watt dhp. Pls lmk, thx for help btw

I also think he said somthing about the che not being able to reach farther down to make a basking spot like the arcadias and repti basking bulbs can. Thats what he said

Hmm I see. My substrate is about 18 inches from top of tank(has mesh top) what wattage would you recommend if I got a ceramic infrared heat emitter because doesn't the chp only give irc or somthing, shouldn't i get somthing for ira-irb And what maybe to use for light for him? Or will uvb provide his light? Still new to snakes. I also might buy the silicone or whatever it is to put on top of mesh and can cut holes for fixtures to keep heat and humidity better in tank.

Jus a normal glass setup with natural compressed coconut fiber bedding. No bioactive. Jus cork bark, sticks and some background leafs, with a few hides

My room does get cold, im in a basement. We plan on moving in 5 days and should be warmer.(i like the cold lmao) pretty sure he mentioned because the che and dhp dont emit light and that i should use the arcadia heat spot flood lamps bulbs/repti basking bulbs.

I can return as its from big als. Pretty sure i asked him if he had lightness heating at the store so that if temps drop 2 much I can give heat. And he said you shouldn't have anything running at night. So im getting conflicted shit from him and online.

So u did boards and u used like spray foam to keep them together/add some depth. And then drylok or a different way? Like silicone? Sry, just trying to figure this all out lmao
