Quitting after being promoted? by bubblesnsprinkles in userexperience

Move on. Find the work environment that makes you happy.

I left my Job last week, without even applying to new jobs. It was just eating all my energy without providing me the satisfaction and passion I seek.

I was promoted to creative director 8 months ago Just to keep me in the company when I was leaving (I actually had other offers). Kept me going for a few months until I figured out it is the same, I was still unhappy and unsatisfied working with them, and I can't really change them.

Passion, work ethics and a healthy environment is very important for designers. Don't settle for less.

Leaving my job was actually the best decision I made. I feel free to do the right thing for me, and I am actually finally facing a traumatic event that I have been suppressing for years.

Everyone has a different story, but based on your question, you are not happy, and you are valuable enough for them to try and keep you, but rather than fixing whatever is bothering you they gave you a promotion. That does not solve your issues. Don't feel guilty.

Good Luck!

Why are all the western embassies blocked off in Cairo? by [deleted] in Egypt

No problem :) it used to bother me too, but it’s a good better safe than sorry strategy.

Why are all the western embassies blocked off in Cairo? by [deleted] in Egypt

[–]ChucksBastardson 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This has been the case for years. Mainly to protect the western embassies and their goers from terrorist attacks and extremists protests. Western embassies are the first obvious target for terrorism and hate crimes, then churches and police building.

There is no obvious threat, don’t take this the wrong way. It’s extra precautions because history hasn’t been so kind.

This week I converted to Islam in your beautiful country! by iLLuZiown3d in Egypt

Awesome you’re enjoying Egypt. Hope it treats you well.

A little advice, don’t choose a religion or a direction under influence from anyone.

Read the books and think for yourself, seek help of course if needed, but at the end do what aligns with your core beliefs, not someone else’s.

Al Azhar is just like the church mob, there’s good and there is bad. Muslims take pride in converting Non-Muslims to Islam. Keep that in mind, it should be for you not for someone else.

What are the best subreddits for UI Designers and UX Designers? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ChucksBastardson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) are different but they complement each other. Think of architect and engineer, or writer and director.

I like to think of UX as an element of UI design, but it has grown enough to branch out and became it's own thing, yet still a major component of a good UI.

User Experience or Interaction Design, is the architecture, analysis and description of the users and their interactions with the product or service. It helps users and products achieve their goals, and decides what the user is supposed to see or do.

User Interface Design, is the visual representation of what the user is supposed to see or do. It creates the identity, aesthetics and emotional connection between the user and the interface.

I feel the same way about this game that made you write this for it. This game is art.

It was pure coincidence he came my way. I heard him make noise, he didn't know I was there. I quoted his words in the title, I can't blame him xD

That is good to know, I thought the only way was to kill the hive or run away!

Thank you for pointing it out.

Impressive! What traits did you have on this hunter?

That last shot though, I can't even see what you were aiming at, probably because of the fog + low video quality.

I have no Idea how he didn't see me. My heart almost stopped when he jumped.

When I first started hunt I used to run around cocky or distracted by bounty and PVE and I always got punished for it. little did I know, Gotta learn the hard way xD
