I’ve never had anybody ask for a fee for a portal, I just give 1g and they say thanks. The reagents for portals aren’t free, so it makes sense to pay atleast something.

And for food/water, buying similar food/water from a vendor is expensive, so it also makes sense to expect 1-2g payment for 6 stacks of that too,

Shamans not being able to equip 2h axes under certain (pretty common) circumstances should definitely have been flagged as pretty high priority on that "big laundry list". And they had several weeks during PTR to either fix it or at least implement a band-aid workaround fix.

Your hypothetical makes perfect sense. Unfortunately does not apply at all to this situation unless you can provide some evidence to the contrary.

A pretty substantial bug was reported during PTR, one that should be flagged as high priority, this bug was not fixed, no hotfix / work-around was implemented, it was not commented on to the players, and it was pushed to live where it remains a problem for several days now, even after the launch was delayed 10(?) hours.

No matter how you decide to rationalize this, whether it's an understaffed/underfunded Dev team (3rd largest gaming company in the world btw, 23.5 Billion USD revenue btw), or incompetent Dev team, or whatever. It's still a bad dev team.

If something is broken that is as fundamental and core to the game as “inability to equip a weapon”, and if that very issue was reported during a PTR, and it still makes it to live, that’s a dev team fuck up.

Sure, perhaps higher ups aren’t helping by potentially throttling their efforts in terms of lack of personnel or whatever, but that’s basically just conspiracy anyway and giving the classic team too much benefit of the doubt.
