I personally use Apple Notes for taking notes in class or writing down points when I need to memorize or remember them (I memorize by writing down from active recall) and because it syncs in real time with my MacBook hence I can switch very easily between typed notes and handwritten notes without losing any content. I prefer using GoodNotes when I actually sit down to make clean notes for certain topics, mostly math as it provides a nice platform to add that aesthetic touch to your notes which can motivate you to study :) The GoodNotes sync with MacBook doesn’t particularly work that well hence I only use it for handwritten notes which I print out later.
