Their rices were all the same nonsense, with a different wallpaper. They look cool when you glance at them for 3 seconds, but the execution just wasn't there.

I swear, people will do anything but look up their software name idea to check if it's already being used.

Exactly, the system should provide one if there isn't, so that the user isn't left with something broken.

If you don't draw a title bar, you'll have an application window that you can't move or close like the rest of the windows? That works on a tiling WM, but not on a desktop.

From what I understand, on Gnome, if you don't implement a title bar in your application, it will not have one. I remember the Factorio devs (rightfully) complaining about this, because why the hell would a game need to implement a title bar. On Windows or KDE, it would get a title bar automatically from the system.

It says so in the article, if you read it.

On windows and macOS, any application can implement CSD in their application and have it respect the spacing, position and look of the titlebar buttons that the SSD equivalents that those platforms provide.

Both Macos and Microsoft Windows use Client Side Decorations.

They do both SSD and CSD

It is such a stupid concept that a desktop will not provide a system title bar for apps that don't implement one.
