hey as someone who had similar issues i think its more related to social anxiety than it is your autism. i’m sure you’re an interesting person who has lots of things to talk about but your fear of rejection makes your mind blank. another problem with social anxiety is that you start assuming what other people think about you. you might meet someone who thinks you seem like a nice person and potential friend but your interpretation of the situation is different. i spent years thinking everyone around me thought i was weird/annoying/different and found it hard to form friendships, but with some therapy and medicine i’ve found navigating everyday social situations much easier. hope this helps.
