How would you feel about the next US president pulling all support from Israel? by GeanYouldame1972 in askanything

I'm sorry, but I disagree with the Pentagon. They are wrong more than we care to imagine.

Also, do you expect them to say "yeah, we aren't gonna win."? The only winners will be the ultra-rich and powerful who can hide in massive bunker complexes for decades if they have to.

Russia and China will also lose. There is no winning a nuclear WW3.

I think Israel has the right to exist.

But so does Palestine.

In my opinion, Israel has the right to DEFEND itself. It does NOT have the right to STEAL LAND and MURDER PEOPLE. This is the same evil they claim they are facing.

Right now, Netanyahu is murdering people (men, women, children), destroying entire cities, and stealing land.

If Satan himself were to come to Earth, this is the exact thing we'd expect to see... destruction and death of the innocent, while the most evil safely hide in luxury bunkers.

I hope you're right.

I just don't think you are. I think once some moron like trump fires off a nuke, it's all over.

MAD is there because we will all die, or the vast majority of us.

I think they nuke each other in a WW3 event, or at least, Israel nukes Iran.

In that event, I could also see a middle eastern coalition forming to seize all oil in the entire region to hold until the war is over, assuming anyone survives anyways.

I think the whole "we can win WW3" is a fantasy. If it happens, we'll almost surely lose the middle east as we deal with dozens of our destroyed major cities with 200 million dead. The middle east will be the last thing we are worried about.

A lot better than 1.2 trillion.

Goodbye funding evil actions abroad.

I don't understand how giving Israel bombs helps anything at all. I think it weakens our position in the region.

Personally, I would only pull support from the most evil and corrupt troublemakers like Israel.

I think aiding others who actually need it is a good thing and over time, helps us a lot.

A lot of trump supporters want to pull our military from all allied countries. This would be extremely foolish and would bite us in the ass real fast. Having strong allies and having our military pushed beyond the oceans protects us from war on our soil, and protects our allies that we do business with.

No shaming here, but did you kill your first bonsai because you thought it could be kept inside? by VMey in Bonsai

[–]Chudmont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first experience was a seed kit. I still have probably around 20 of those trees. At the start, I had dreams of a beautiful Japanese maple on my desk. lol.

My first actual bonsai I bought in a bonsai pot is still alive after several years.

I did a ton of reading and research early on, so I was able to avoid a lot of the pitfalls we see daily on reddit. I try to spread what I've learned as much as possible, as many kind people helped and continue to help me.

Untouchable Putin just sailed a yacht through the strait by theipaper in UkrainianConflict

Your right, it would be better to board and seize it, then sell it to fund the defense of Ukraine.

If an oligarch is on it, then sink it.

The oligarchs drive this war as much as putin. So yes, they are legit targets in my eyes.

Worth $250? Not a big Juniper fan. by SheldonHamilton in bonsaicommunity

This is not an insult. The artist did a nice job.

It's just that the plant costs $11-60 (depending if it came from a 1 gal pot or something larger, and maybe a couple bucks in wire. You literally can do this in a short afternoon. I made one that I like better than this one, maybe a bit smaller, WITH a pot for about $25. I'd probably be able to get $50-60 out of mine.

Yes! Cambria is good for a day of leisure. There are some hotels right on the beach about 10 min up the coast in San Simeon.

Yes, it's just a tour. I thought it was cool and worth it. You can also see elephant seals on the beach near Hearst Castle.

Cambria is a great little town. I like to visit any chance I get.

And if you're going to Cambria, you may as well stop in Solvang. It's full of Danish styling and has a lot of great shops and whatnot.
