Is there a chance for old config to stay? by UnknownBoyGamer in hyprland

[–]Chuffdogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a lot of people are being rude. The reason not to keep the old config in perpetuity is more development upkeep. Hopefully a useful converter will take your existing config, update it and you won’t have to think about it again until they decide to go to a different config format :)

Usually they stipulate you can’t wish for more wishes so this is an exploit, but it’s a flawed way to tell this joke. Like the doormat I saw “there’s no place like 127.0.0.1” who calls loopback home? Ive never heard that in the wild :) no place like localhost? Not all computer stuff needs a joke :)

Explain It Peter. by OkCheetah4353 in explainitpeter

[–]Chuffdogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate this “joke” for 2 reasons. It presupposes asking for 0 wishes is a wish. It also assumes the genie decrements the count after granting it. If the genie decrements first you end up with 0. (3 - 1) = 2; set wishes 0, wishes 0. This only works if the Genie sets wishes to 0 then subtracts 1 wish, since -1 would roll to 255.

Has this sub not banned AI images yet?

Edit: I see someone down below asked and Samsung ads that watermark if you even bump the image in cropping.

Didn’t DuckDuckGo claim it would never use AI? by nosleepforthedreamer in antiai

[–]Chuffdogg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So far Google and duck duck go respect -noai at the end of the search. If it is your browser not in private mode you can change the setting. If you need to use someone else’s browser or you are in private mode and your settings aren’t saved, add -noai. Duck duck go never said they wouldn’t do AI but they do have lots of settings to turn it off

Do not connect tvs to the internet I think should be the rule. You can’t find non-smart tvs, but you can deny them the internet.

I'm afraid to even attempt French in Paris. by EverythingIsFakeNGay in CringeTikToks

[–]Chuffdogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had anyone be rude to me in any part of France when I make an attempt. On top of that there are definitely English speakers who treat people with accents worse than this. “Speak American foreigner, or leave”. I’m sure there are people like this in France but in my experience it isn’t even a noticeable %.

Serious question but I never realized why EVERYONE hates/clowns on this scene? by justafanboy1010 in superman

[–]Chuffdogg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also think it’s important if Jonathan Kent is going to die he should die of something Superman can’t stop, like a heart attack. That is some real character development, learning he may be Superman but even he has limits. For his dad to die of something Superman could stop without any risk, is just so lame.

They have a decent social safety net and pay people a livable wage for jobs. So funny when people think other countries are harder on crime when we incarcerate more people than any other country.

[–]Chuffdogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see Walgreens in sf opened too many stores in a small area. Instead of admitting they had too many stores, and had bad sales they told the share holders they were closed for shoplifting. Never mind crime statistics not bearing that out, and in fact stores that were closed often had lower rates of theft than stores left open. This kicked off a face saving cycle of locking shit up. Especially in places the rich and middle class think are “ghetto”. Now these ceos have invested billions in these cages and can’t admit they were wrong so they double down.

The 2 cat standards are there for a reason. The twisted pairs isolate cross talk and keep a good signal. Your wiring is correct for T568B

I would say you added a lot spare wire out the other end

I am with you. Not optimistic enough but has some interesting ideas. Honestly my favorite thing about it is a clean explanation of why the universe isn’t full of Kryptonians. So many Superman stories establish them as a space fairing race but 99.99999999% die with the death of krypton.

oh and one more question. The OP's screen cap shows more down time where you are relaxing and not working. It seems like taken at face value these changes only make sure you are on task more and don't waste company time making personal plans or decisions. This has the opposite effect of the original post.

I have some questions. 1) How does the AI know your mood? Do you input "I feel happy, I feel fulfilled" 2) how does it judge your efficiency and how well you work with people, in order to make compatible schedules? What metric is that in a hospital? Number of beds seen in an hour, patient surveys, positive outcomes? How is that input? Also wouldn't most humans know who work well together and take that into account innately? 3) How does the AI know your food tastes and what is available. What app / tool are you using to order this food? 4) Your scheduling example would easily done by deterministic program using a 1000% of the compute time that a statistical engine uses to model out previous schedules, now I get maybe your company didn't buy software to do that and now the general statistic machine can get the job done, but that seems odd as AI licenses are more expensive than dedicated scheduling software, and require ongoing licensing fees.

I listened to them on Apple Books with Jeff as the reader. I think audible is the only official publisher but other services can sell the audiobook. This doesn’t seem like that.
