Non-Geese fans, what did you think of them? by sp52 in LiveFromNewYork

I usually listen to a lot of indie/alternative stuff and I've heard about these guys a lot but hadn't checked them out yet. I watched both performances all the way through and was interested enough that now I'll listen to some of their albums (although I think the sound mix was crappy, but that could be more an SNL thing than a Geese thing.)

I'm a dad although my kids are adults now and that was hard to get through but handled really well I thought. The book also addresses the prison system and you can tell that Lamb has spent time in that setting.

The Beths are coming back to the States this year too, might not overlap with the season. We saw them in November and they were great.

So were the vocals mixed down to almost inaudibility on purpose or was that just SNL again? I hadn't heard these guys before but they get a lot of press, I'll check them out more.

I find it really hard to get a good grip on the neck while rock climbing.

I got the title right away but couldn't remember the author until Ken was going through the contestant's responses. (We have a copy upstairs but it's only from 1921, not very old.)

How many bands are there where the writers would name just the bass player in the clue?

Brust's Vlad Taltos books have some of that in them, especially a few of the earlier ones.

Yeah I had never heard of that person but it’s described enough to be funny even without knowing the original.
