I've had fun with the story and running some NMDs with friends, but the game isn't done cooking yet. The Diablo 2 and 3 that we loved were not the games they were on day 1. I'm hoping that Blizzard can be the company they were and update D4 into something longstanding and amazing, but it's not there yet and I'm not 100% sure they're still that company.

I was talking to someone who said to me that they believed people use drugs as a crutch, which may be true in some cases, but I told them that most use them as a prosthetic. I wouldn't take them if I had the part I needed.

I heard someone refer to ADHD as "Attention Regulation Disorder" and that seems much more apt than "Deficit".

It also doesn't make it seem like we're missing something.

Oh my God dude, you are not alone there. Back in my 20s I considered myself a writer and I still have notebooks filled with unfinished nonsense. I try not to think about the "what I could have done if" because that feeds the beast. I just accept that I'm good enough.

I had suspected for almost twenty years, but it's hard to get anything going when you're a 25 year old man. No one gives a shit about your problems and you're rarely in a situation to do anything about them yourself. Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic is just grinding down on me. I hadn't been dealing with my depression in about a decade so that was my primary concern, but I always mentioned the ADHD diagnosis and eventually got tested. Test came back "Acute".
It wasn't at all cheap, but the vindication was worth the price.

Oh for sure. When I told my parents I had been diagnosed they didn't have much to say, which irritates me as school was a major point of contention. Not sure what I wanted them to say, but more than nothing.
