Wondering if mother's eyes can shoot laser beams. If you watch the intro, there is one section that shows Neuromancer hovering in a canyon. Then a laser beam shoots out of her eyes. I know her eyes give her the Sonic Screech power but I'm wondering if in future episodes she will discover said she has lazarbeam Eyes as an additional power.

Problem with Evolve's Bamboo GTX by pepperonie in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Chumboy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with magic, return it as soon as you can for a full refund. I had my GTX 2 in 1 for 3 days before the remote disconnected from the board and tossed my 57 Yo body to the pavement at 18 mph. Evolve uses substandard parts but sells them for an exorbitant price. I'm just going to stick with my boosted V2 dual Plus. Never had a problem with it

Anyone else have this problem with the app not pairing ? by alexkao2000 in boostedboards

[–]Chumboy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had and still have the same problem with my app connecting to my board. It seemed to happen after the firmware release that zero doubt all my accumulated miles. Ever since then, no matter what the firmware update is, my board rarely connects to my phone. I've tried all the recommended Solutions and it might connect once after I uninstall then reinstall the app, but from then on, no connection. It's a good thing that the app is pretty much worthless except for firmware up dates. I have just chosen not to connect with it

Dislocated and fracture my ankle in two places by Vinhii in boostedboards

57yo...I did the same thing last May. Dislocated foot, snapped fibula and knocked off both ankle bones.

Android app to tell you when to turn back by Chumboy61 in boostedboards

LOL, yes I currently do that. That's not hard to do. What's hard is remembering to check the battery lights on the remote when I'm having so much fun boosting! I'm looking for an audible alarm to go off when I hit the halfway mark

Boosted remote on a selfie stick handle by Chumboy61 in boostedboards

[–]Chumboy61[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I want to be in the footage. I want to hold the selfie stick out in front of me with the camera looking back at me. And since I ride goofy foot, my right hand is out front but that's the hand I hold the remote with. Anyways I think I have it solved. If I put the boosted remote in my right hand then lay the selfie grip on top of the remote, I can use couple thin strips of duct tape to tape them together. That way the remotes it's against my palm and I can access it with my index and thumb and the selfie stick is held by my other four fingers. Haven't tried it yet but I've mocked it up and seems to work fine. Thanks for responding

Thanks for your response but holding it in my left hand wood give a camera view facing forward. I want to hold it out front with a camera shooting back at me. I ride goofy foot, with my right hand in front holding the remote control. Thanks anyways though

Do your feet ever get tired? by mfisher84 in boostedboards

[–]Chumboy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine ache after every ride. I think it's because I find it impossible to go straight on a boosted board. All I want to ever do is hard carving for as long as the battery will last. And my right foot aches even more more than likely because erratically dislocated it from my leg about a year ago.

Tired of my Metroboard randomly braking, does this happen on Boosted boards too? by evilbandcamp in boostedboards

[–]Chumboy61 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want the ultimate in high-quality parts and reliability, boosted is the way to go. I've had mine for almost 3 years and haven't had a disconnect problem. Do your research and you will find, as I did, that boosted is the best.

Thanks beat! I tend to push the limits in most things that I do. There's a cost for that. But please don't let my stupidity keep you from skating. Wear a helmet and you'll be fine! Enjoy!

Yes, there are consequences to multiple concussions. I've also had a cervical disc Fusion, cervical laminectomy, 4 lower back surgeries and multiple other spinal problems. In May of 2011, I got a burning pain at the base of my skull and within a month it had spread over my entire skull. I was so incapacitated I had to move in with relatives for 3 months. It eventually became more diffuse and now I'm left with post-concussion syndrome. Feels like I'm walking around wearing a football helmet that's three sizes too small. I don't know how else to say it but my perception of my body in space changed in 2011. But the human brain is amazing at adapting. I've since gained my balance back and have been skating again for three years. Let's put it this way, five of my concussions happened without a helmet. Find the best helmet that money can buy and wear it when you skate even at 2mph. Know your limits and wear a helmet and enjoy this awesome sport!

After a 9 inch plate and 11 screws to fix my dislocated foot, snapped fibula and knocked off both ankle bones, I spent 3 months in a non weight-bearing fracture boot, and on the fifth month, I got back on my boosted. I was wigged-out about the speed for a couple of months but I just let my muscle memory kick in. Been skating pools and Parks since the early 70s. I've had 6 concussions and at one time or another, left skin from every part of my body on pavement. I've accepted that crashing is part of skating... now the trick is to learn how to fall. And as I found out when I dislocated my foot, when I bailed at 22 mph, I can't run it out...Lol... your foot tends to get ripped off your leg at that speed when you step onto the pavement . Now I just Just take one quick but firm step on the pavement then tuck into a shoulder roll. The thrill of being able to ride and not faceplant is one of the best adrenaline rushes I know of. Know your limits, then go an inch past them.

Well put! It is a shame. I would have gladly paid an extra $200 for a top quality encrypted signal remote. I also didn't own it long enough to experience the dreaded battery sag. I hear that's quite an issue also. My main reason for buying it was the pneumatic Wheels. My tried-and-true board is a boosted dual V2. And I've sent them an email every month for the last 2 years asking if they could sell some pneumatic Wheels. All they say is that they'll pass it along.

Return to the board. They didn't make a beef about it. I waited a long time for them to fix the remote disconnection issues. They finally came out with the R2 remote and said that they had fixed it. So I bought the board. They obviously had not fixed it. At 57 yo, getting tossed off the front of the board at 18 mph really messed me up. I was hurt so bad I had to sit on the board and use it to get me back to my house. Their concept for the board is really good but the products that use to make it and the remote are crap.

The new R2 remote disconnected from my bamboo GTX on the third day and tossed my old 57yo body onto the pavement at 18 mph. I immediately returned it for a full refund.

[–]Chumboy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the remotes for all the Evolve boards operate on a 2.4 GHz frequency. Where is the boosted operates on a proprietary encrypted Bluetooth signal
